H&M, the renowned fashion brand, has announced its upcoming designer collaboration with the iconic house of Rabanne, and now we have a first look at the highly anticipated collection.
Rabanne, celebrated for its groundbreaking designs dating back to founder Paco Rabanne‘s iconic creations of the 1960s, has undergone a renaissance under the creative direction of Julien Dossena since 2013. Fashion enthusiasts can mark their calendars, as the collection is set to launch in selected stores and online at hm.com on November 9, 2023.
To celebrate this exciting partnership and capture the essence of the collection’s party-ready aesthetic, H&M and Rabanne hosted a glamorous event at the legendary Silencio nightclub in Paris. Distinguished guests, including the likes of Jared Leto, Damson Idris, Irina Shayk, and Elle Fanning, offered an exclusive sneak peek of the collection ahead of its official release.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design Womenswear and Creative Advisor at H&M, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Rabanne’s metallic dresses are instantly-recognisable pieces of fashion history. We’re thrilled to bring a dazzling array of Rabanne designs to our customers with this sensational collaboration.”
Julien Dossena, Creative Director of Rabanne, shared his creative vision, saying, “As a designer, I’ve always been interested in exploring hedonism and empowerment. I was very enthusiastic to work with H&M on a collection that will introduce Rabanne’s avant-garde energy to a wider audience in a democratic way.“
The Rabanne H&M collection will encompass womenswear, menswear, shoes, accessories, and even an H&M Home décor capsule, perfectly complementing the fashion collection.
H&M has a rich history of successful designer collaborations, having pioneered the fashion collaboration space back in 2004 with the late Karl Lagerfeld. Over the years, H&M has partnered with esteemed names in the industry, including Versace, Comme des Garçons, Balmain, Maison Margiela, Stella McCartney, and most recently Mugler, consistently making high-fashion accessible through limited-edition collections.
