Choosing Your Airline Between NYC and PARIS.
When it comes to flying from NYC to Paris, you’re spoiled for choice with what seems like hundreds of airlines. From the renowned luxury of Emirates to the classic charm of Air France, each airline offers its unique experience. However, for travellers seeking a blend of affordability and comfort, a smaller airline can be the right choice. On a few of our recent trips French bee turned out to be a hidden gem. Since June 10th, 2020, French bee has been providing travellers with the opportunity to embark on their journey aboard a state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900. This modern marvel boasts advanced technology, including a new air exchange system, superior sound insulation, LED lighting, and a spacious cabin designed to ensure passengers enjoy the utmost comfort throughout their flight.
However, for many travellers collecting miles and pointes some of the larger airlines are still a favourable choice. Nevertheless, taking time and exploring what suits you and your timetable is always our recommendation. Compare, compare and compare. The airline you might be used to travelling with can often turn into a much more expensive choice.
The French bee Experience
French bee operates daily NYC to PARIS flights between Newark Liberty International Airport and Paris Orly 4 Airport. The flight typically lasts around 7 hours and 25 minutes.. With a departure time of 10:55 pm from New York and an arrival time of 12:20 pm in Paris Orly (+1 day), French bee ensures you arrive refreshed and ready to explore the City of Light. For us landing around noon to Paris is simply said ideal situation. With most hotels starting their check in time at 2pm in Paris. This gives you enough time to arrive from the airport and settle right away by checking into your hotel.
Selecting the Right Airport
Paris boasts several airports, each with its unique advantages. Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Orly Airport (ORY) are the two primary international gateways. While CDG is the largest and busiest, ORY is often considered a more convenient choice for travelers heading to the city center. It’s just 13 kilometres from the heart of Paris, making your journey from the airport to your destination quick and hassle-free. When flying with charter companies, or perhaps private, you are likely to land at Jetex FBO terminal Aéroport Paris Le Bourget. This is a smaller airport operate only for private planes and select charter companies. While closer to the city just as Orly Airport depending where you are in Paris it make take up to an hour to reach your destination in the city. This all depends on the traffic.
Getting from the Airport to the City:
Once you arrive at either CDG or ORY, you’ll find various transportation options to reach the city center. From taxis to airport shuttles, buses, and the efficient RER train system, you can choose the mode of transportation that best suits your preferences and budget. For those looking to save time and enjoy a seamless transfer, the RER B train from CDG or the Orlyval light rail from ORY are excellent choices.
Taxis have a set price when taking you from the airport, airport personal is quite efficient and the queue to a taxi is quick and highly recommended. Calling for an UBER or BOLT car yourself on CDG and Orly is testing, with no clear pick up spot for the application service cars. When travelling from Jetex FBO terminal , we would recommend calling an UBER or arranging a driver. The taxis in our experience are much more expensive, and drivers won’t hesitate to overcharge or bargain with you.
Paris: A Hub of Events
Paris isn’t just a city of romance and history; it’s also a global hub for events, congress travel and cultural experiences. Throughout the year, Paris hosts 6 Paris Fashion Weeks – menswear and womenswear ready to wear as well as haute-couture shows. It is a hotspot showcasing the latest trends from the world’s leading designers. The Maison & Objet design fair is a must-visit for design enthusiasts, offering a glimpse into the latest interior design innovations. And as the world anticipates the 2024 Olympics, Paris is buzzing with excitement, making it the perfect time to plan your visit and soak up the sporting spectacle.
Booking Tips in Paris
With the Olympics starting in July 2024, booking your airplane ticket and hotel already is highly recommended. The overall hotel prices are much higher in Paris today compared to the pre-pandemic times. Thus choosing to travel in periods when Paris is not hosting massive events such as fashion weeks or unparallel ones such as Olympics is our recommendation. There won’t be any tourists less, however the prices are likely to be somewhat lower.
That said, to secure the best deals on flights and accommodations, it’s advisable to book your tickets and hotels well in advance. Typically, booking your flight three to six months ahead of your intended travel dates can yield significant savings. Flights wise, keep an eye on airline promotions and fare comparison websites to ensure you get the best value for your money.
Finally, your journey from NYC to Paris is not just a flight; it’s an adventure waiting to unfold. With an array of airlines, airports, and options to choose from, including the exceptional experience offered by smaller airlines, you can take this journey with ease and excitement. So, book your tickets, pack your bags, and get ready to discover the magic of Paris. However it may go, we are sure you will come back with a lot to talk about.
