On January 10, 2024, The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has officially released the preliminary schedule for the anticipated New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024. The event is set to commence with Peter Do’s sophomore show as the creative director for Helmut Lang on Friday, February 9, and will conclude with a grand finale by Thom Browne on the evening of Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
This season’s NYFW confirmed over 70 designers. The lineup includes a mix of digital presentations, traditional runway shows, and exclusive appointments. Notable returning brands are 3.1 Phillip Lim, Altuzarra, Anna Sui, and Carolina Herrera, alongside contemporary favorites like Brandon Maxwell, Coach, and Michael Kors. The schedule also marks the return of Monse to the New York runway and Delpozo, celebrating its 50th anniversary with a special presentation. Additionally, the CFDA welcomes Ludovic de Saint Sernin to New York, marking his first runway presentation outside Paris, scheduled for February 11.
New York Fashion Week February 2024 is also a platform for nurturing industry relationships. The CFDA NYFW Travel Fund, established in 2022, continues to foster connections between international press, media, and American designers. Over 30 international editors have benefited from this initiative.
Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA, highlights the season’s focus on diversity, emerging talents, and established international brands. He expresses pride in the continued growth of the CFDA NYFW Travel Fund, which facilitates the attendance of international editors, thereby supporting American fashion on a worldwide scale.
Since acquiring the Fashion Calendar in October 2014, the CFDA has become the primary organizer of the Official NYFW Schedule. The Fashion Calendar, a pivotal tool in the fashion industry since 1945, continues to serve as a critical planning resource for designers, press, retailers, and industry professionals.
