The “Dream Portraits” project by Rocco Forte Hotels offers an extraordinary opportunity for guests to transform their dreams into tangible works of art. This unique experience, available to guests staying in the luxurious suites of Hotel de la Ville and the private residences of Rocco Forte House in Rome, is created in collaboration with renowned Roman artist Matteo Nasini.
During their stay, guests wear a comfortable EEG headset that records their brain activity while they sleep. Using real-time conversion software, the brain’s electrical signals are transformed into audio waves, which Nasini then converts into exquisite fine porcelain sculptures. This process allows guests to take home a deeply personal piece of art that captures their dream state in a physical form.
Matteo Nasini, a graduate of the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and a former member of the orchestra Luigi Cherubini, has devoted his career to visual art. His fascination with the ephemeral and material forms of dreams has led to this innovative project, where the sounds generated during different sleep phases are turned into tangible sculptures.
Guests can choose from 15 elegant suites with stunning views of the Eternal City at Hotel de la Ville or one of five luxury private apartments at Rocco Forte House, located within an 18th-century palazzo. The “Dream Portraits” experience, starting at €15,000.00, can be reserved through the Concierge, depending on availability.
For those planning to visit European cities during the summer, the Forte Escape Suite in Florence offers significant savings and exclusive benefits as part of the Rocco Forte Suite Experience. These benefits include in-suite check-in, an in-room bar with soft drinks and beer, breakfast in the suite or the restaurant, and an ironing service.
Opened in 2019, Hotel de la Ville is Rocco Forte Hotels’ Roman gem, located on Via Sistina. The hotel, an iconic 18th-century palace, was meticulously renovated by architect Tommaso Ziffer and Olga Polizzi, the company’s Director of Design. It features 104 rooms and suites, a vibrant piazza, and the state-of-the-art Irene Forte Spa, offering guests a holistic wellness experience.
Founded by Sir Rocco Forte and his sister, Olga Polizzi, in 1996, Rocco Forte Hotels is a collection of 14 luxury hotels, resorts, residences, and villas. Each property is a landmark in its own right, providing guests with unparalleled service and unique experiences in some of the world’s most captivating destinations.
