For SS25, Wiederhoeft once again transformed the runway into an immersive theater, offering more than just a display of garments but a performance that resonated with emotion and introspection. Designer Jackson Wiederhoeft used the milestone of the brand’s fifth anniversary to reflect on time’s passage, urging the audience to question how we are shaped by it. This collection, titled “Dearly Loved Children and Warriors of the Living Breath,” was aN exploration of how fashion interacts with the body, both fleetingly and permanently.

Known for his elaborate productions, Wiederhoeft’s shows have always been more than a traditional runway presentation. This season continued that trend, featuring signature elements such as three-act structure, dramatic lighting, and a range of looks that captivated the audience. The theatrics of the show reflected Wiederhoeft’s roots in drama, a passion that informs every facet of his work. Each act was carefully choreographed to tell a deeper story, making the fashion show feel like a living, breathing art piece. The show began with a single model seated under a spotlight, setting a somber, reflective tone. As the models took to the runway, they donned Wiederhoeft’s signature styles—corsets, flowing gowns, and intricate mini dresses adorned with crystals, sequins, and bows.
A standout moment came during the second act, which featured the “Ophelia” gown—a stunning blend of renaissance elegance and modern couture. In blush satin, with a structured corset and delicate ribbon detailing, the gown epitomized the refined craftsmanship Wiederhoeft is known for. The gown’s romanticism was enhanced by sheer, ruched gloves and minimalist styling, allowing the design to shine without distraction. This piece exemplified the emotional depth woven into the collection, marrying beauty with a haunting, nostalgic quality.
The finale, titled “A Flock of Brides,” stunned the audience with an ethereal display. Twenty-six models, representing a range of body types from sizes 0 to 30, walked the runway in identical bridal looks, unified in their elegance and presence. The models moved slowly, illuminated only by soft white light from behind, creating an eerie yet empowering procession.
As the lights dimmed, the audience was left with a lasting impression of the brand’s bold statement on identity, time, and transformation. Wiederhoeft’s SS25 was a reflection on the human experience, a reminder that fashion can be a vessel for emotional expression.
