The PUMA Inhale, a sneaker known for its bold design and performance-driven features, is making a powerful comeback. Originally debuting as part of the Cellerator family in the early 2000s, the Inhale was lauded for its CELL cushioning technology and signature look, making it a favorite among athletes and streetwear enthusiasts alike. Now revamped for 2024, the Inhale re-emerges as a lifestyle silhouette that retains its fearless identity while bringing contemporary updates.

SNEAKERS

The Inhale’s design has always drawn inspiration from human biology, with its tendril-like lines across the upper evoking veins and arteries. This distinct style, alongside the blazing red Formstrip, symbolizes vitality and energy. The 2024 version builds on these features, enhancing comfort with a wider fit and softer midsole, making it a shoe crafted for both performance and everyday wearability. PUMA has chosen to reintroduce this sneaker in a striking black-and-red colorway, bringing a touch of contemporary edge to the classic design.

In recent years, the Inhale has also gained traction among fashion icons. A$AP Rocky, a collaborator with PUMA, spotlighted the silhouette in his debut collection in 2023, driving a surge in demand and a swift sellout of the model. His support introduced the Inhale to a new generation of fans. This resurgence highlights the Inhale’s versatility, fitting into both high-energy athletic pursuits and casual, urban fashion.

Dutch football star Xavi Simons now joins the ranks of those embracing the Inhale, adding his youthful energy to the sneaker’s modern identity. Styling the shoe in its bold black-and-red debut, Simons brings a fresh perspective, connecting PUMA’s heritage with today’s street-savvy aesthetic. His association with the brand adds further appeal to the Inhale’s return, reinforcing its position as a symbol of bold design and youthful expression.

PUMA Inverse

Complementing the Inhale’s revival is PUMA’s new creation, the Inverse, developed using AI technology and fine-tuned by human craftsmanship. While the Inverse draws from the same DNA as the Inhale, it introduces a more progressive look with features like a midsole cage and layered overlays. Launching in December with a red mesh upper accented in dark amethyst and black, the Inverse is a modern reimagining that takes PUMA’s design ethos into the future.

The PUMA Inhale will be available on November 7, 2024, while the Inverse will make its U.S. debut in early December before a global release. These two models, grounded in PUMA’s heritage and reimagined with a modern edge, showcase the brand’s evolution, combining tradition with innovation to attract both longtime fans and new followers.
