The Audi Summer Concerts return in 2025 with an ambitious program, bringing together global stars and emerging talent for an electrifying season of classical music. Running from June 21 to July 27, the festival promises a dynamic mix of performances, including groundbreaking productions, orchestral spectacles, and special programs designed for young audiences. With a lineup featuring renowned violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, accordion virtuoso Martynas Levickis, and the genre-defying Swedish chamber orchestra O/Modernt, the concerts will once again transform Ingolstadt into a hub for music lovers.
Audi will also introduce a bold new project at the unfinished Museum of Concrete Art and Design, blending music, movement, and light in an immersive experience. As part of its ongoing efforts to support young talent, the festival will open with performances from winners of the Audi Composers Competition.
This year’s festival begins on June 21 with an exclusive production that pushes artistic boundaries. The winning compositions of the Audi Composers Competition will be performed alongside a dance interpretation, with audience members guided through the construction site of the Museum of Concrete Art and Design. The event explores the theme of light, both as a visual element and as inspiration for the music itself.

Xavier Ros, Member of the Board of Management for Human Resources and Organization at AUDI AG, emphasizes the festival’s vision: “The Audi Summer Concerts reflect our strong cultural engagement and our focus on nurturing young talent. By bringing together international icons and rising stars, we create a space where generations can connect through music. I am especially excited about the programs for young audiences, as they open doors to classical music for those who may not have had access before.”
The festival’s dedication to young audiences continues with several performances designed specifically for children and teenagers. On July 6, the Aurora Orchestra will present a playful reinterpretation of Camille Saint-Saëns’ The Carnival of the Animals, integrating movement, stage design, and light to engage young listeners.
On July 12, the Audi Philharmonic Wind Orchestra will stage ADUI, a family concert where children actively participate in an interactive story. This commissioned work by Austrian trombonist and composer Siegmund Andraschek follows superhero ADUI on his quest to recover Audi’s four missing rings, using music as a guiding force throughout the adventure.
The Salzburg Festival will return to Ingolstadt on July 26 with Berge flüstern laut (Mountains Whisper Loudly), a theatrical production directed by Elli Neubert. Designed for children aged eight and up, the show brings Salzburg’s legendary myths to life, taking young audiences on an imaginative journey filled with mysterious creatures and hidden wonders. Additionally, Audi will host a special music workshop for local schoolchildren on July 5.

Known for its genre-defying approach, the Stockholm-based chamber orchestra O/Modernt will take the stage on July 19, offering a performance that spans multiple musical traditions. Led by British violinist Hugo Ticciati, the ensemble integrates baroque, classical, avant-garde, minimalism, pop, rock, grunge, metal, and punk into a single cohesive experience. Their program, Crossing Over the Atlantic, will blend the works of Benjamin Britten with the music of Radiohead, Sting, and Pink Floyd, delivering a performance unlike any other.
Beyond its innovative programs, the Audi Summer Concerts 2025 will also welcome internationally acclaimed musicians. On July 10, legendary violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter will perform with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Ingolstadt’s Stadttheater. She will play the second violin concerto composed for her by film score maestro John Williams, whose music has shaped some of cinema’s most iconic franchises, including Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter. The program will also feature Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, ensuring a blend of classical and cinematic magic.
Accordionist Martynas Levickis will close the festival on July 27 with a performance that redefines the capabilities of his instrument. Known for his technical brilliance and innovative interpretations, the Lithuanian artist will present his own arrangement of Carmen Suite by Georges Bizet.
Audi’s contributions to Ingolstadt’s cultural life extend far beyond sponsorship. Last year’s festival drew nearly 20,000 attendees, reinforcing the company’s commitment to encouraging musical excellence. In addition to organizing the Summer Concerts, Audi supports initiatives such as the Audi Philharmonic Wind Orchestra and the Audi Young Persons’ Choral Academy, as well as major international events like the Salzburg Festival.
