
Beyoncé and Levi’s expand their collaboration with a second chapter, “Pool Hall,” continuing the partnership that kicked off last year. Building on their previous campaign, this latest release draws inspiration from classic Levi’s ads while injecting a fresh energy that reflects Beyoncé’s signature style.
Levi’s has built a reputation for standout collaborations, partnering with brands like Stüssy, sacai, ERL, and New Balance. The brand’s campaign roster has been just as impressive, enlisting stars like Barbie Ferreira and Emma Chamberlain. Last September, Levi’s teased its team-up with Beyoncé through an Instagram post featuring a cowboy hat-wearing rider on horseback, cryptically captioned “INTRODUCING: A New Chapter.”

That teaser led to the debut of “Chapter 1: Launderette – Reimagined with Beyoncé.” The campaign video played on Levi’s iconic 1985 ad, where a male model stripped off his jeans and tossed them into a wash filled with stones to achieve the perfect stonewashed effect. Beyoncé’s version brought her own twist, she removed her blue Levi’s jeans, throwing them into a washing machine along with diamonds, revealing a simple white tee and underwear underneath. The ad quickly ignited speculation among fans, with many dissecting it for hidden clues about Beyoncé’s next musical era.

The latest installment, “Pool Hall,” takes cues from Levi’s 1991 commercial, shifting the focus to a high-stakes billiards match where Beyoncé faces off against a seasoned opponent. The video positions Levi’s denim as a wardrobe staple with an updated edge, emphasizing confidence and self-expression.
Beyoncé wears pieces from the collaboration that reflect this dynamic attitude, the Ribcage Wide Leg jeans, the Braided Vest, and the Spade Trench. Custom embellishments elevate each design, reinforcing the campaign’s themes of individuality and reinvention.
In a press release, Beyoncé shared her perspective on the power of denim, stating “There isn’t another wardrobe piece that evokes comfort, modern elegance, classic Americana attire and nostalgia the way denim does. When I think of all those things, I think of Levi’s. For the second chapter in our collaboration we had even more fun in reimagining the denim-on-denim narrative, through the lens of a woman who can be sexy, bold and a fierce competitor, all at once. We wanted to celebrate the duality of grace and power.”
