For Summer 2025, Miu Miu moves outdoors, both literally and conceptually. The L’Été 2025 campaign, marking the brand’s latest seasonal chapter, shifts the gaze from the structured runway to a garden space teeming with life. Photographed by Siân Davey in her debut fashion campaign, the imagery invites a softer, introspective tone. Davey’s lens, casts familiar faces, such as Diana Silvers and Callina Liang, into a still, slow summer, where the wardrobe becomes a reflection of personal freedom.

The collection leans into simplicity without retreating from sophistication. Childhood dress codes are revisited through crisp cottons and vivid palettes, shades of periwinkle, bright pink, and cherry red punctuate Miu Miu’s familiar material vocabulary. Cotton poplin, checked piquet, and soft knitwear shape a wardrobe that oscillates between structure and softness. Aviator jackets meet tennis skirts, while tailored ensembles in neutral greys are thrown off balance by irreverent styling touches: embellished belts looped over undergarments, bustier knits layered over collared shirts, and bandana-print scarves knotted over cardigans.

Lotta Volkova’s styling incorporates the collection with a sense of youthful provocation, challenging expectations of how such clothes should be worn. Accessories continue this theme. Mary Janes with glossy block heels nod to schoolgirl nostalgia, while sneakers with mismatched laces and clogs with carved wooden soles suggest a playful refusal to conform. Bags are reinterpreted with tactile surfaces, woven leather on the Wander and Beau models, natural suede on the Aventure, and brightly hued canvas backpacks evoking schoolyard memories.

Miu Miu also reaffirms its collaboration with Petit Bateau, extending a dialogue that began with the Spring-Summer 2025 runway. The capsule includes a tank top, striped boatneck, and cotton briefs—each co-branded and sold in exclusive packaging. These pieces are less about novelty and more about intimacy. They speak to how everyday items, when thoughtfully made and recontextualized, can take on new significance in a curated summer escape.

Jewellery throughout the campaign takes cues from nature, floral motifs and animal forms suggest a storybook kind of luxury, light and intuitive. Beach bags arrive in striped canvas and raffia, while the preppy Ivy silhouette makes a return in fresh seasonal iterations. Eyewear, in its oversized aviator shape, grounds the looks with retro precision.

The Miu Miu L’Été 2025 campaign avoids spectacle in favor of atmosphere. The setting, a leafy garden marked by antique furnishings and golden light, becomes part of the clothing’s narrative. Through Davey’s lens and Quarmby’s art direction, Miu Miu doesn’t just propose what to wear, but how to feel in it. There’s no declaration, just the quiet presence of a summer wardrobe that’s been worn, remembered, and reimagined.
