Dior has officially unveiled its first high jewelry campaign, and Charlize Theron takes center stage. This marks the first time the house has appointed an ambassador for its most exclusive line of jewelry, a significant step in Dior’s ongoing relationship with the Oscar-winning actress. Shot by Mario Sorrenti, the campaign launches in May across Dior’s digital platforms and global media, positioning Theron as the face of Dior Joaillerie’s refined craftsmanship under the vision of Victoire de Castellane.
JEWELRY
Theron, a longtime face of Dior’s fragrance and skincare lines, described the collaboration as a natural evolution. “It’s our collaboration I have always valued and appreciated,” she said in a statement. “Together, we felt that it was important for this high jewelry story to embody the essence of what it means to be bold and confident.” Her reflection captures the essence of de Castellane’s work, fearless design anchored in the house’s creative heritage.

The campaign includes standout pieces such as the Dior Milly Dentelle Couture Fleurie necklace and matching ring, first unveiled in January. Crafted to resemble delicate floral lace on the skin, the set is rendered in rose gold and studded with marquise and pear-cut diamonds. At its center: an 8-carat, cushion-cut Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond surrounded by a constellation of smaller yellow stones.
A Winter Fantasy in Sapphire and Gold
Another featured design is the Forêt Glacée Bleu set from the 2024 Diorama collection. A winter-inspired fantasy interpreted in platinum, rose gold, and sapphires, the piece transforms Dior’s iconic toile de Jouy motif into an enchanted forest of gemstone-covered animals. At the center of the necklace lies an 11-carat oval-cut sapphire from Madagascar, accented by detailed blue and black lacquer work for additional visual depth.

Theron’s role in this campaign follows her appointment last year as Dior’s ambassador for both skincare and jewelry, broadening her long-standing relationship with the LVMH-owned house. Delphine Arnault, CEO of Christian Dior Couture, praised her as “an icon” who perfectly embodies the union of “arts, craftsmanship and dreams” that defines Dior’s high jewelry.

Beyond fashion, Theron’s influence spans activism and cinema. Alongside her work as an actress and producer, she founded the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project and has served as a United Nations Messenger of Peace since 2008. Her next film role arrives this summer in The Old Guard 2, where she returns as the immortal warrior Andromache of Scythia. The sequel premieres on Netflix July 2.
