Dior has named Jonathan Anderson as Creative Director of women’s, men’s, and haute couture collections, setting a new precedent for the Maison. For years, Dior maintained separate creative directors for its men’s and women’s lines, making Anderson’s appointment as the sole artistic lead across all divisions a historic first since Monsieur Dior himself.
Delphine Arnault, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Christian Dior Couture, states: “I am delighted to welcome Jonathan Anderson to lead the women’s and men’s creations of the House. I have followed his career with great interest since he joined the LVMH group over ten years ago. I am convinced that he will bring a creative and modern vision to our House, inspired by the fabulous story of Monsieur Dior and the codes he created. He will be supported by our teams and our incredible Ateliers who will bring his creativity to life.”

Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of LVMH, emphasises: “Jonathan Anderson is one of the greatest creative talents of his generation. His incomparable artistic signature will be a crucial asset in writing the next chapter of the history of the House of Dior.”
Jonathan Anderson comments: “It is a great honour to join the House of Dior as Creative Director of both women’s and men’s collections. I have always been inspired by the rich history of this House, its depth, and empathy. I look forward to working alongside its legendary Ateliers to craft the next chapter of this incredible story. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Delphine Arnault and Bernard Arnault for their trust and loyalty over the years.”
Anderson will debut his first collection for the House with Dior Men Summer 2026, to be presented in Paris on June 27, 2025.

Despite months of speculation and industry rumors, this appointment was widely anticipated, making it arguably one of the worst kept secrets in the fashion world, as many insiders predicted this strategic move by LVMH.
Anderson now faces significant pressure to replicate the critical and commercial success he achieved at Loewe, where his tenure has been widely celebrated. However, questions remain about the future of his eponymous J.W. Anderson label. With the considerable demands of his new role at Dior, industry observers are speculating whether the brand will see the appointment of a new creative director, a potential closure, or if Anderson will follow in the footsteps of designers like Karl Lagerfeld, who famously balanced multiple creative directorships simultaneously. We will be watching closely to see how Anderson navigates this new era.
