Louis Vuitton sharpens its focus on watchmaking within fine jewellery through the introduction of the Keeper Watch, part of the Maison’s Summer 2025 Virtuosity collection. Designed as a sculptural object and symbolic accessory, the watch redefines what a high jewellery timepiece can express, centered on vision, wisdom, and technical craft. The Keeper Watch draws from the idea of protection and insight. Its form, shaped like an all-seeing eye, turns a traditional accessory into a visual motif layered with meaning. Designed for all genders, this unisex piece pairs avant-garde composition with luxury detail, relying on shape and symmetry rather than overt extravagance.
WATCHES
The watch features a rhombus-shaped dial housed in a circular case, sculpted in white gold and set with snow-set diamonds. This specific diamond setting method creates a textured surface across the entire face, with stones laid closely together in varying sizes. The result offers full coverage and uninterrupted sparkle, giving the illusion of a continuous diamond field rather than a decorative frame. The white gold hour and minute hands, both leaf-shaped, add lightness and clarity to the dial, allowing the timepiece to function with both elegance and precision.
Two small yellow gold elements separate the case from the bracelet. Each includes two diamonds, placed to contrast against the cooler tones of the white gold while introducing warmth without excess. These gold links serve a structural purpose but also improve the eye-shaped silhouette, anchoring the piece visually while maintaining balance. Pavé-set diamonds trace the outer edge of the case, amplifying the radiance of the form while reinforcing the eye motif.
Louis Vuitton complements the form with sapphire glass covering the dial, offering both visual clarity and durable protection. The decision to cover the piece in layered diamonds, rather than confine them to borders or bezels, signals a design that moves beyond function. The watch becomes an object of observation as much as it is an instrument for marking time.
This piece stands apart from previous Louis Vuitton watches in its sculptural ambition. Rather than borrow from existing models, the Maison built a new silhouette entirely around the symbolic shape. The Keeper Watch functions as both a timepiece and a design object. It reframes what a jewellery watch can represent, positioning symbolism at the center of the concept and finishing it with precision detail.
