SYSTEM presents Office Daydream, its Spring Summer 2026 collection, inside Galerie Clemenceau at the Grand Palais. The venue, recently reopened after renovation, carries the same stillness and restraint that defines the show. Photographer Sohom Das captured the energy behind the scenes, exclusively for DSCENE Magazine, documenting the moments before the show unfolded.
BACKSTAGE
This season, SYSTEM focuses on daily routine, the repetition of work hours, the structure of scheduled tasks, and introduces softness within that frame. Office Daydream opens up space for private rhythm, quiet release, and movement without noise. The backstage mirrored this tone. Models moved through fittings and prep with a calm precision, as garments made from soft taffeta and sheer fabric shifted lightly with each step.

The collection consists of around 300 pieces, including ready-to-wear and accessories. SYSTEM draws on clean 1990s silhouettes, adjusting them through modern construction. Lightweight outerwear, jumpers, and shirts shape the collection. These pieces follow the body without constraint and carry a light responsiveness designed to echo the theme.
Materials play a central role. Sheer panels and soft textures allow garments to react to air and movement. Subtle padding offers shape without stiffness. The backstage view revealed how garments moved in real time, never static, never stiff. The clothes responded to walking, light, and touch, forming part of a quiet system of motion.

SYSTEM uses color to extend this rhythm. White introduces openness, followed by tones of ivory, beige, and soft gray. Navy and sky blue shift the register deeper, while small amounts of yellow, orange, and pink lift the tone without breaking the calm.

The installation Echoes of Air supported this direction. Specially developed fabrics responded to airflow and light across the show space. The same energy resonated backstage, where styling, dressing, and movement followed a careful pace.
