Nike is preparing to release the Ja 3 Light Show on August 5, introducing a new chapter in Ja Morant’s signature line. Built around the demands of Morant’s explosive playstyle, the sneaker features full-length ZoomX cushioning, a tuned traction system, and a court-ready structure designed to enhance responsiveness and control. The retail price is set at $125 and the model will be available through Nike and select retailers.
The Ja 3 is the first model in the line to include Nike’s Hybrid ZoomX foam across the entire midsole. Known for its use in distance running, ZoomX provides lightweight structure and high energy return, repurposed here to serve a more aggressive game. This configuration helps Morant generate lift off the dribble and land with stability after high-impact plays.
The Ja 3 Light Show arrives in a white and dusty cactus palette. The upper incorporates a scratch-like texture in grey layered over a white base, punctuated by a graffiti-style “Ja” graphic on the collar. The Light Show colorway reflects the shift from unseen preparation to public performance, with visual elements suggesting intensity under pressure.
Underfoot, the Ja 3s feature a zoned rubber outsole built for multidirectional movement. Each section of the sole is tuned to support quick changes in pace, and the entire surface is marked with mini Ja logos. Morant has spoken publicly about the outsole’s grip, noting its ability to support his abrupt cuts and directional attacks.
The upper is constructed from synthetic mesh combined with reinforced overlays, offering containment during lateral movement while maintaining a lightweight feel. The collar is sculpted to maximize ankle mobility without sacrificing support, allowing Morant to stay fluid on both ends of the court.
