Timothée Chalamet has signed a multi-year deal with Lucid Motors to become the company’s first global ambassador. The collaboration places the Oscar-nominated actor at the center of Lucid’s upcoming campaign for the Lucid Gravity SUV, as the electric vehicle brand continues to build its profile in the automotive and cultural space.
Lucid introduced the partnership with a series of promotional images featuring Chalamet and the Gravity model, which the company plans to follow with a full campaign rollout in fall 2025. The campaign carries the tagline “Compromise Nothing,” echoing Lucid’s design and performance philosophy. For Chalamet, the partnership formalizes his relationship with the brand after he was spotted driving a Lucid Air in 2023.

The Lucid Gravity serves as the focal point of the campaign. The SUV starts at $79,900 for the base touring model, while the grand touring version enters the market at $94,900. Lucid will position Chalamet as the face of this model, aiming to link his high-profile presence with the company’s goal to gain broader cultural traction. The company, founded in 2016, continues to expand its visibility through both product development and selective talent partnerships.
Akerho “AK” Oghoghomeh, senior vice president of marketing at Lucid Motors, said Chalamet brings the creativity and vision that reflect the brand’s values. He emphasized that the partnership aims to demonstrate how innovation and cultural relevance can drive progress. The campaign marks a new step for both Lucid and Chalamet. For the brand, this serves as its first formal partnership with a celebrity ambassador. Lucid intends to use the campaign to connect with a broader audience beyond the existing luxury EV market.

For Chalamet, this deal adds to a growing list of commercial ventures. Earlier this year, he appeared in a new campaign for Cash App. These partnerships place him in spaces beyond film, reinforcing his relevance across industries. At the same time, Chalamet continues to build momentum in his acting career. He will soon star in Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie and co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow. Next year, he returns as the lead in Dune: Part Three, once again directed by Denis Villeneuve.
The partnership between Lucid and Chalamet sets up an intersection between luxury electric design and high-profile cultural presence. Though the campaign will not launch fully until fall, Lucid’s early promotional images already signal the tone. The company shows Chalamet seated in the Gravity SUV, dressed in a minimal, contemporary style that reflects the design language of the vehicle.
