PUMA and Manchester City launched the Club’s Third kit for the 2025/26 season with a direct nod to Mancunian weather. The design celebrates the City that plays in the rain and salutes supporters who carry the team through every forecast. Grey skies often hang over Manchester, yet the football stays electric, and the shirt channels that energy.
The jersey and shorts feature an all-over raindrop graphic that sets the tone for the full look. Neon green accents cut along the neck, shoulders, and side panels to create sharp contrast and a clear on-pitch identity. A green-to-blue gradient runs through the centralized PUMA Cat and the Club crest, then continues into the socks for a unified finish that echoes the iridescent behavior of water. Designers added a transparent finish to the crest to mimic droplets on a window, a quiet nod to home. The kit carries a simple message from Manchester: “even when it rains, we shine.”

Club retail and licensing lead Serena Gosling framed the release within the season ahead. She pointed to the Third kit arriving just before the 2025/26 Premier League schedule and ahead of the Women’s Super League next month. She outlined how PUMA and the Club explore different directions for each kit and draw from the city, the Club’s history, and other cultural sources. She also looked toward matchdays, eager to see players wear the design on the pitch this season.
From PUMA’s side, Senior Director of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel Marco Mueller focused on the people who fill the stands and streets. He described Manchester’s deep connection to football as pride and community belonging. The Third kit unites those traits and takes a different route: it embraces rainy conditions and acknowledges the fans who stay with the team “Rain or Shine.”

PUMA built the range in two versions. The Authentic Jersey, which players wear, uses ULTRAWEAVE to reduce weight and friction for elite performance. The Replica Jersey mirrors the visual identity with a more relaxed fit made for matchdays and daily wear. Both options use dryCELL to wick sweat so players and supporters stay dry and comfortable when the weather turns.
PUMA also advanced its material work with the Replica through the RE:FIBRE initiative. This process uses recycled textile waste to form new materials without sacrificing quality. The Replica contains at least 95% recycled textile waste and other used polyester materials, marking a tangible step toward a more circular production flow for football jerseys.
Supporters can secure the Manchester City Third kit through PUMA.com, Manchester City Official Stores, and select retailers worldwide.
