Didit Hediprasetyo presented its Spring Summer 2026 Couture Collection, that approaches craftsmanship through travel understood as a way of seeing. As a photography enthusiast, he draws from personal experience gathered across different cities and cultures. The collection reflects an attentive gaze that lingers, observes, and records detail. The woman envisioned this season carries a Leica as she encounters the temples of Java, the food culture of Seoul, and the urban density of Shanghai. Each place enters the collection through memory and observation, translated into form and construction.

COUTURE COLLECTIONS

Hediprasetyo places Indonesian, Korean, and Chinese sartorial traditions into dialogue. He absorbs these references through proportion, cut, and structure. A vest informed by the kebaya pairs with skirts shaped by the sarong. The architectural logic of the hanbok informs elongated silhouettes that skim the floor. The line of the cheongsam resurfaces in cocktail dresses and tailoringt. A Parisian sensibility frames these influences, guiding the collection toward cohesion.

Silhouettes emphasize vertical lines and continuity. Long dresses follow the body while maintaining freedom of wear. Jackets adopt a tailored form yet soften through fluid trousers. Corsetry appears as structure without rigidity, shaping the figure while allowing natural wearability. A white tuxedo crafted in Indonesian songket functions as a key look. Its sharp cut contrasts with black leather lapels and a subtle golden accent that echoes through the trousers. Elsewhere, a crocodile-leather vest with corseted construction introduces tension, paired with streamlined bootcut trousers that communicate confidence.

Material choices define the collection’s tactile language. Silk jersey, organza, lace, and velvet interact with supple leathers and polished finishes. These combinations create contrast between matte and sheen, heaviness and lightness. The color range remains limited. Black and white anchor the collection, joined by a graphic black-and-white print inspired by stone formations. Sand tones and muted gold appear as accents, drawn from natural light and softened surfaces.

Supermodel Eva Herzigova appears in a champagne-toned gown inspired by Korean undergarments, carrying a camera that references travel photography and attentive observation. Her presence conveys assurance and self-possession. Soo Joo brings contemporary energy to looks designed for wear across different moments of the day. Chiara completes the cast with a composed presence that reinforces the collection’s language of strength and modernity.

This Spring Summer 2026 Couture collection, titled Through a Traveller’s Eye, reads like a series of visual notes gathered over time. Each garment reflects an encounter remembered through fabric, cut, and proportion. Hediprasetyo frames couture as a way to observe cultures closely, translating experience into clothing that values curiosity, attentiveness, and freedom of expression.
