The North Face has partnered with New York City fashion brand Aimé Leon Dore for a limited-edition collaboration that transforms iconic outdoor apparel, equipment, and footwear. The collection combines The North Face’s dedication to performance with Aimé Leon Dore’s storytelling rooted in heritage and community, delivering pieces that balance functionality and refined design.
David Whetstone, The North Face’s Director of Global Collaborations and Energy, explains that the collaboration elevates classics like the Nuptse, Denali, Borealis, and Verto using materials such as Casentino wool, leather, and ballistic nylon. These enhancements add depth to the collection’s color palette, including Summit Gold, The North Face Blue, and Evergreen, while incorporating Aimé Leon Dore’s perspective to reinterpret these outdoor icons.
The Nuptse Jacket receives a new expression in Casentino wool, sourced from a renowned mill in southern Italy. This wool undergoes a “ratinatura” treatment, giving the fabric thermal insulation and water repellency. A matching hat extends the material’s presence across the collection. The Denali Jacket appears fully in nylon, designed as a windproof outer layer, paired with a nylon hat.

Accessories expand the capsule with both functionality and premium craftsmanship. The Borealis Backpack uses ballistic nylon across its body for durability, while a crossbody bag offers a smaller, complementary option. The North Dome Rope Bag combines leather and mesh, taking inspiration from traditional outdoor archetypes while delivering a luxurious finish. The Verto Alpine Shoe incorporates leather construction with GORE-TEX 3L technology, preserving the model’s reputation for performance while giving it a fashion-forward reinterpretation.
The Firefighter Jacket in the collection offers three-layer waterproof protection with D-ring details and ballistic nylon overlays. Its design references The North Face’s Mountain Jacket and Base Camp Duffel, merging functional heritage with a modern urban edge.

In anticipation of the launch, the brands released a campaign film following a semi truck transporting the collection from San Francisco to New York City. The film highlights expansive American highways, plains, and small towns while incorporating nods to both brands, including container branding, New York Mets memorabilia, and a Never Stop Exploring bumper sticker. TNF athlete Scot Schmidt and Aimé Leon Dore’s Buddy the Dog make cameo appearances as gas station clerks. The driver wears the Firefighter Jacket and Verto Alpine GORE-TEX shoes.
The full collection is now available at Aimé Leon Dore locations in New York and London, select The North Face stores in Asia, and on Aimé Leon Dore’s website. In Japan, the collection will become available on September 26, 2025, in select TNF stores and on The North Face’s website.
