UGG teams up with YOON and her Tokyo-based label AMBUSH for a 2025 capsule that pushes the brand’s recognizable styles into unexpected territory. Following an earlier partnership with designer Reese Cooper, this collaboration reimagines UGG’s comfort-driven design language with daring proportions and references to Tokyo’s fashion scene.
SHOES
The UGG x AMBUSH line introduces five footwear models, all designed with platforms or heels. This detail sets the tone for the entire collection, bringing elevation both literally and stylistically. The centerpiece, the UGG AMBUSH Heel, is priced at $650 USD and features a fur coating across its full exterior.

Other standouts include the UGG AMBUSH Woven Boot and the UGG AMBUSH Boot. Both shoes take UGG’s classic silhouette and expand it into heavier, more substantial forms. Crafted from full-grain leather, sheepskin, and nubuck, these boots demonstrate how the collaboration balances premium materials with new proportions.

The designer rooted the collection in her experience of Tokyo. “I wanted to draw inspiration from our city of Tokyo,” YOON said. “The boots and shoes I often saw when I first moved to Shibuya have always stuck with me, so this is my love letter to the neighborhood.” That reference to Shibuya situates the collection within a specific cultural context. Tokyo’s streetwear identity shaped YOON’s aesthetic, and with UGG, she translates that perspective into footwear that references both nostalgia and present-day style.
To introduce the collection, UGG and AMBUSH enlisted Japanese rapper, singer, and songwriter Yuki Chiba as the face of the campaign film. The short piece situates Chiba at a bowling alley, where he joins friends for a game against a group of girls wearing the collaborative heels. The setting feels casual yet charged, reinforcing the collection’s intention: shoes designed for real-life moments but expressed with exaggeration and attitude.

The capsule’s availability also adds to its exclusivity. Beginning September 12, the UGG x AMBUSH collection will roll out online and in select stores. With limited distribution, the line positions itself as both a creative experiment and a collector’s opportunity. UGG has built a reputation on collaborations that expand its image beyond classic sheepskin boots, and this project continues that trajectory, bringing Tokyo streetwear energy into conversation with the brand’s design codes.
