BTS will reunite for their first live performance in three years with a global livestream event titled BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG. The performance will stream live on Netflix on March 21 and will feature RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook performing together again as a full group. The event marks the group’s return to the stage following a period shaped by South Korea’s mandatory military service requirements.

The livestream will take place in Seoul at Gwanghwamun Square, the main gate of the historic Gyeongbokgung Palace. The location carries cultural significance within the city and provides the setting for the group’s return performance. Fans will watch the event globally through Netflix, where the broadcast will appear as part of all subscription plans.
The performance will introduce songs from BTS’s fifth studio album titled ARIRANG. The album will release on March 20, one day before the livestream performance. This release schedule places new music and a global performance within a short timeframe, allowing audiences to experience the songs live immediately after the album becomes available.
The ARIRANG album includes fourteen tracks. The songs listed on the tracklist include “Body to Body,” “Hooligan,” “Aliens,” “FYA,” “2.0.,” “No. 29,” “SWIM,” “Merry Go Round,” “NORMAL,” “Like Animals,” “they don’t know ’bout us,” “One More Night,” “Please,” and “Into the Sun.” “SWIM” appears as the lead single from the project.
After the livestream performance, BTS will begin the ARIRANG World Tour. The tour will include 82 shows and will reach 34 regions. The tour will expand the return of the group beyond the initial Seoul performance and bring the new album to audiences in multiple locations.
The return performance follows a hiatus related to mandatory military service in South Korea. In December 2022, the members paused group activities as each enlisted for military service for periods of up to eighteen months. During that time several members released solo projects while fulfilling service requirements.
The discharge timeline for the group occurred in stages. Jin and j-hope completed service in 2024. RM, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook completed service in early June 2025. SUGA completed service on June 21, 2025, becoming the final member to finish his enlistment period. With all seven members discharged, the group reunited to begin work on new music.
A documentary film will follow the performance event. BTS: THE RETURN will arrive on Netflix on March 27. The film will document the making of the ARIRANG album and the group’s reunion after the period of military service. Director Bao Nguyen will direct the film with production from This Machine and HYBE.
The documentary will include behind-the-scenes footage showing the members as they return to a shared creative process. The film will also document the development of the ARIRANG album and the period leading to the group’s stage reunion.
With the album release, the livestream event, and the documentary premiere scheduled within the same week, BTS will begin a new chapter that reconnects the group with global audiences through music, film, and live performance.
