LISA has released her new EP, PRESS PLAY, a six-track project inspired by the structure and experience of cinema. Arriving on October 23, 2026, through LLOUD and RCA Records, the release invites listeners to experience its songs as a continuous film, with each track contributing a different scene to the overall concept. The project also introduces the official music video for “Tarantino,” an action-driven production that takes its inspiration from filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

The EP begins with “SaWaDiKa,” followed by “V12” and “Cobra.” “Tarantino” occupies the fourth position, leading into “Cut U Off” and the closing track, “Sweat.” LISA developed the sequence around the idea of watching a film from beginning to end, giving each song its own identity while maintaining a coherent listening experience. The project also draws on her Thai roots and personal experiences as she continues developing her solo career.
The accompanying music video places LISA inside a hotel where she embarks on a mission to deliver a letter to her favourite director, Quentin Tarantino. Her journey takes her through a series of confrontations, with elaborate fight choreography and action sequences interrupting her progress.
LISA takes on multiple opponents as she makes her way through the building, drawing from the physical intensity and exaggerated action associated with the filmmaker’s work. The video’s theatrical approach directly connects with the EP’s cinematic concept, presenting “Tarantino” as a central chapter in the six-track project.
The release follows the success of “SaWaDiKa,” whose title references the Thai greeting. LISA filmed its accompanying music video in Bangkok, connecting the single to her home country. The visual attracted more than 70.8 million YouTube views during its first 24 hours, while the song debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her highest entry on the chart at the time.
LISA also performed “SaWaDiKa” at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she received the Best Pop award for “Dream,” featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi. The achievement made her the first solo K-pop artist to win the category.
The release of PRESS PLAY comes ahead of LISA’s upcoming VIVA LA LISA residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in November. The six-night engagement marks the first Las Vegas residency headlined by a K-pop artist.
The original four performances sold out in under ten minutes, prompting organisers to announce two additional dates. The residency gives LISA an opportunity to bring her latest material to the stage following the EP’s release.
Her expanding work in entertainment also includes Always Lalisa, a feature documentary directed by Sue Kim. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before reaching cinemas internationally. It follows a significant period in LISA’s solo career, including the release of Alter Ego, the establishment of LLOUD and her solo appearance at Coachella.
With PRESS PLAY, LISA continues exploring the relationship between music, performance and visual storytelling. The EP’s six tracks establish a cinematic structure, while “Tarantino” translates that concept into a physical, action-focused music video. The upcoming Las Vegas performances offer another setting for the material as she prepares to bring the new songs before live audiences.
