Jordan Brand continues its Flight Club series with the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in a Black and Sail colorway, scheduled for release on April 11, 2026. The drop revisits the original Air Jordan fan membership program that operated during the late 1980s and early 1990s, a period when fans connected with Michael Jordan through mail-in catalogs, newsletters, and exclusive merchandise.

The design introduces a black woven textile upper, paired with contrasting white stitching that outlines each panel. Corduroy textures appear on key sections such as the mudguard, eyelets, Swoosh, collar overlay, and heel overlay, while black nubuck underlays add depth to the construction. This layered approach creates a surface that reflects the material direction seen in recent Jordan Brand releases.

White elements appear on the lace set and tongue, providing contrast against the darker upper. University Red accents define the woven Nike Air tongue label and the Air Jordan Wings logo at the collar. These color placements reference the Chicago Bulls palette associated with Michael Jordan’s early career. A Sail midsole introduces a slightly aged visual tone, while a gum rubber outsole grounds the shoe with a classic finish.
Inside, the sneaker features a custom insole printed with archival graphics of Michael Jordan alongside the Flight Club logo. This detail ties the design directly to the original fan program, where printed materials played a key role in how fans engaged with Michael Jordan.

The Flight Club theme first appeared earlier in 2026 on the Air Jordan 4. With the Air Jordan 1, Jordan Brand shifts the approach through darker materials and a different balance of textures. The concept draws from inserts, booklets, and postcards that accompanied early Air Jordan releases, using these references to shape the visual direction of the series.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG holds an important place in Jordan Brand history. Michael Jordan debuted the original model in 1985, shortly after his championship-winning shot at North Carolina. That moment marked the beginning of his influence on basketball culture. The Flight Club edition connects that early period with a specific aspect of fan engagement that defined the era.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Flight Club will arrive in full-family sizing, including adult, big kid, little kid, and toddler options. Retail pricing is set at $185 for men’s sizes, $140 for big kids, $85 for little kids, and $70 for toddler sizes. The sneaker will launch April 11, 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
