Kith and adidas Football present a new footwear collection designed by Ronnie Fieg and Lionel Messi, created for two anniversaries tied to sport and culture. The release marks 20 years since Messi’s debut on the global stage and 15 years of Kith. Through six silhouettes, the collection traces Messi’s career through performance footwear and lifestyle design, pairing football references with materials and details associated with Kith.

The performance lineup includes the COPA Mundial 17 UltraBOOST, F50 Megaride, and F50 Walkable Cleat. Each model draws from a different part of adidas Football history, while Kith uses texture, tooling, and color to give the silhouettes a specific visual language. The COPA Mundial 17 UltraBOOST revisits a model that Kith and adidas Football first introduced in 2017, pairing the COPA Mundial 17 upper with UltraBOOST tooling. This version features a snakeskin-embossed leather upper, vibrant blue contrast stitching, and chrome heel clips.
The F50 Megaride pairs the F50 upper with Bounce tooling. Its upper features a black-blue gradient, while the translucent midsole changes appearance with the replaceable insoles included with the shoe. Kith and Messi iconography appears asymmetrically on the lateral sides of the heels, giving the style a direct link to the partnership.
The F50 Walkable Cleat references the first adidas cleat Messi wore during the 2006 tournament. Kith and adidas Football use a synthetic leather upper with white-blue gradient artwork, while a Velcro tongue cover hides the lacing system. The design also includes visible cleats inside a translucent casing, giving the model a hybrid identity between archival reference and collectible presentation.
The lifestyle selection includes two Handball Spezial colorways and a deconstructed Superstar. Kith offers the Handball Spezial in light pink and white, with textile uppers, premium suede overlays, and gum sole units. The white colorway adds asymmetrical blue and yellow Three Stripes on the lateral and medial sides. The Deconstructed Superstar uses a luxe leather upper and removed padding, creating a lighter version of the adidas silhouette.
Each footwear style includes a gift-with-purchase commemorative Lionel Messi trading card. A limited randomized selection will include autographed and PSA-graded versions, adding a collectible element to the release.
Kith opens global drawings for Kith & Messi for adidas Football Footwear on the Kith App on Wednesday, May 27th. Select quantities launch Friday, May 29th at 11AM in stores, online, and on the Kith App in New York, London, Paris, and Tokyo time zones.
