BTS took the stage in seven custom Diesel looks during the Chicago date of the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ on August 27. Creative Director Glenn Martens designed an individual outfit for each member, using exaggerated proportions, experimental treatments and Diesel’s established denim techniques across the group’s stage wardrobe.

Martens developed the seven looks around denim, leather, tailoring and utility. Each outfit responds to the individual member while maintaining a shared visual direction across the group. Surface treatments, distressed effects and sculptural shapes run throughout the custom pieces.

RM wore an oversized denim suit featuring a relaxed shirt with matching jeans. Diesel used its in-house denim dévoré technique across the set, producing the effect of heavily distressed fabric while exposing areas of skin underneath. A faded black long-sleeve Henley T-shirt with tonal buttons completed the look.
Jin appeared in an oversized black leather suit with a generously cut blazer and straight-leg trousers. The construction translated formal tailoring into leather while retaining loose proportions. Under the jacket, Jin wore a faded black cotton jersey long-sleeve T-shirt featuring whisker-inspired patterns along the sides. Black boots continued the monochrome palette.
SUGA wore a sculptural leather jacket shaped through pronounced creases and three-dimensional volume. He paired it with a cotton tank top carrying Diesel’s Oval D logo and relaxed leather trousers with an elasticated waistband. Black boots finished the outfit.

For j-hope, Diesel created a painted and creased leather biker jacket with a stone-like surface and a cocoon-shaped neckline. Low-rise leather trousers featured integrated protective knee panels inspired by technical motorcycle equipment. A deep scoop-neck tank top and black boots completed the styling.
Jimin wore a black coated-denim trench coat with matching straight-leg trousers. Diesel paired the set with an off-white sleeveless jersey dévoré top, black leather ankle boots and a metal Diesel-logo belt. The dévoré treatment continued the collection’s focus on distressed surfaces and exposed areas of the body.

V wore an off-white coated denim trench coat with straight-leg coated denim jeans and a jersey dévoré tank top. Diesel first introduced the trench treatment in 2021, shortly after Martens joined the brand. Contrasting coatings create a cracked surface across the outerwear, while the jeans continue the treatment through a contrasting wash. The jersey dévoré technique first appeared on Diesel’s Fall Winter 2024 runway. On V’s tank top, the process creates the impression of fabric burned across sections of the body. Black boots completed the off-white look.
Jung Kook wore a painted leather jacket with matching trousers. Diesel heavily creased both pieces to produce a stone-like texture, with the brand’s logo emerging through the treated surface. A black short-sleeve T-shirt featuring the Oval D logo and black boots completed his outfit.
Across all seven looks, Martens used Diesel’s material experimentation to establish a unified stage wardrobe while giving RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook distinct silhouettes for the Chicago performance.
