A pair of sneakers can carry details that fans recognize immediately. For Ohio State, it’s a reference to the Horseshoe. For TCU, it’s the last line of the Riff Ram cheer. This fall’s college football sneakers range from molded Foamposites to low-profile terrace shoes, giving fans different ways to wear their school colors on Saturdays. These seven pairs make the cut for what they say about their programs or how easily they fit into a game-day wardrobe.

Nike Air Max 90 Guardian of the Gates
The Air Max 90 Guardian of the Gates pays tribute to Ohio Stadium. Nike builds the design around a three-headed guardian, with one head for each phase of football: offense, defense, and special teams. Shaggy University Red suede covers the toe box and side panels, and red mesh continues the color up the tongue. A grid of tonal squares patterns the black leather mudguard. Small black teeth edge the mirrored silver Swoosh, and a short Cuban-link chain echoes its finish at the base of the laces.
The tongue tag reads “Defend the Shoe,” after the stadium’s nickname. Inside, “Fight to the End” appears in Old English lettering. Both phrases also feature on the matching Ohio State football cleat. Nike SNKRS lists the Air Max 90 for November 3 at $140 under style code JA2109-600.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro Mummy Duck
Oregon’s “Mummy Duck” started as a team-exclusive Air Foamposite Pro with off-white fabric wrapped around the upper. Nike changes the treatment for the retail edition. Green bands suggest overlapping strips of wrapping on the exposed molded shell, and frayed fabric gathers around the side Swoosh. The logo glows in the dark. The loose threads are especially visible against the smooth shell, which leaves the Foamposite’s sculpted contours in view.
White laces pick up the color of the fabric. At the back, the Oregon Duck appears in mummy wrapping on the heel, with Oregon lettering on the pull tabs. The Air Foamposite Pro Mummy Duck releases November 3 for $230 under style code IZ7806-001.

adidas Adizero EVO SL EXO Tennessee
Tennessee is one of 14 schools in the collegiate Adizero EVO SL EXO lineup. The model comes from the adidas performance running range and uses an exterior framework to support the upper. On the Volunteers edition, that framework has a metallic silver finish over a white base. Oversized orange Three Stripes dominate the side profile, and the school lettering on the tongue brings Tennessee orange to the front of the shoe.
Team logos appear at the heel and on the insole. Lightstrike Pro foam supplies lightweight cushioning underfoot, making the Tennessee edition a running shoe that can double as a pair for the walk to the stadium. Adidas lists it at $160.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro LSU
The LSU Tigers edition is part of a four-school Air Foamposite Pro collection that also includes Ohio State, Florida State, and TCU. Nike uses University Gold for the molded shell and incorporates the tiger stripes into the material. They follow the rounded panels of the Foamposite upper, giving the gold surface a distinct pattern that follows the contours of the shoe. Purple around the collar and lining brings in LSU’s other team color.
“Geaux Tigers” runs down the heel pull tabs. The same project includes a corresponding LSU Vaporposite football cleat, so the sneaker shares its school-specific design with footwear made for the field. The Nike Air Foamposite Pro LSU releases November 5 for $250 and carries style code IX2091-700.

adidas Barreda Decode Miami
The Miami Hurricanes Barreda Decode is a low-cut terrace sneaker with a suede T-toe and a slim rubber sole. Adidas pairs a Cloud White upper with Dark Green Three Stripes and Collegiate Orange accents. The suede overlay traces the front of the shoe, and the Hurricanes’ name appears beside it near the forefoot. A team logo marks the heel, giving the school two distinct placements within the familiar terrace shape.
A cushioned midsole sits above the rubber outsole. The combination keeps the shoe close to the ground and makes it an easy match for straight jeans or shorts on game day. At $95, it’s the lowest-priced sneaker in the guide. The Miami edition carries product code KJ9200.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro TCU
The TCU Horned Frogs Foamposite Pro uses New Orchid purple as the base for a molded pattern inspired by the horned frog’s skin. The texture covers the shell, including the curved side panels beneath the white Swooshes. The white branding has a clean outline against the purple, while the scaled surface makes the mascot reference part of the shoe’s construction. A Horned Frogs graphic at the heel identifies the source of the pattern.
The rear pull tab reads “Give ’Em Hell,” the final line of TCU’s Riff Ram cheer. Nike places the lettering at the back, alongside the mascot graphic. The Nike Air Foamposite Pro TCU drops November 5 for $250 and carries style code IX2092-500.

adidas Adizero EVO SL EXO Penn State
The Penn State Adizero EVO SL EXO keeps Cloud White dominant, with Team Navy and Stone completing the colorway. That makes it a natural fit for a White Out, where the navy details identify the Nittany Lions within a predominantly white outfit. The shoe uses a textile and synthetic upper, with an exterior support structure that follows the side panels. School branding appears on the heel and insole.
Underfoot, the EXO pairs Lightstrike Pro foam with a rubber outsole. It has the same running platform as the Tennessee edition, and the lighter treatment makes the outline of the exterior frame a bigger part of the design. Adidas lists the Penn State edition at $160 under product code KZ9920.
