The MSGM Men’s Fall Winter 2025 collection, aptly titled “Follow the Rabbit,” guides us through a transformative odyssey that begins with playful innocence and evolves into darker, more introspective realms. Massimo Giorgetti masterfully crafts a narrative that straddles rebellion, societal collapse, and the interplay of parallel worlds, all underpinned by a symbolic rabbit—an emblem of curiosity, transformation, and mystery.

FALL WINTER 2025.26 COLLECTIONS

Drawing from cinematic and literary influences such as Donnie Darko and Alice in Wonderland, the collection blurs the lines between fantasy and reality. The rabbit motif serves as a gateway, urging wearers to explore unknown paths where rebellion meets introspection. Giorgetti’s inspiration from Gummo further deepens the narrative, reflecting the raw turbulence of societal shifts and adolescent rebellion. This interplay captures the spirit of early 2000s countercultures, particularly the queer and punk movements, imbuing the collection with a palpable tension between charm and unease.

MSGM’s signature aesthetic is reimagined through a fusion of psychedelic and punk influences. Washed and marbled denim reflects a grunge sensibility, while “wrinkled” tailoring introduces deliberate irregularities that challenge conventional precision. Playful slogans like “I love mushrooms” and “Softcore” graphics further explore contrasts between innocence and transgression, echoing the experimental ethos of the collection.

Outerwear and knitwear take center stage with intricate detailing such as hand-crafted gugliatura and sherpa jacquard textures, adding depth to the tactile experience. These pieces feel both nostalgic and forward-thinking, balancing the rugged with the refined.

At the heart of the collection lies a provocative collaboration with Bruce LaBruce, whose work challenges societal norms around narcissism and hedonism. This partnership brings an avant-garde edge to the collection, transforming the look-book into an immersive event. LaBruce’s influence sharpens MSGM’s critique of modern identity, inviting reflection on the performative nature of self-expression in contemporary culture.

The collection’s journey culminates in a fairy-tale woodland, a magical setting where reality dissolves into fantasy. This enchanted world, filled with mushrooms and surreal textures, encapsulates the transformative power of the collection. By embracing the unfamiliar, MSGM invites its audience to discover new facets of identity, celebrating individuality and self-expression through fashion.

With “Follow the Rabbit,” MSGM continues to redefine its place at the intersection of fashion, art, and culture. Giorgetti’s exploration of rebellion, transformation, and the beauty found in chaos creates a collection that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant. It’s a journey that challenges us to rethink the boundaries of reality, art, and self-expression, ensuring MSGM remains a beacon for bold, narrative-driven fashion.
