Balenciaga and PUMA have officially launched their long-anticipated collaboration, first shown as part of Balenciaga’s Winter 2025 collection. The release includes footwear, garments, and a campaign shot by Ari Versluis. The partnership brings together Balenciaga’s design language with PUMA’s performance roots, offering a collection that stretches between technical sportswear and fashion structure without sacrificing either.
Ari Versluis, recognized for the Exactitudes series created with Ellie Uyttenbroek, photographed the campaign. His lens also documented Demna’s final ready-to-wear presentation for Balenciaga Spring 2026’s Exactitudes lookbook. In this new series, Versluis captures models Diede, Tianee, Brooks, Yav, and Joe in motion and stillness. They wear full looks from the collaboration, styled with other pieces from the Winter 2025 collection. The campaign films feature gabber-style dancing set against Françoise Hardy’s Tous Les Garçons et Les Filles, creating a distinct rhythm between image and sound.

The Balenciaga and PUMA footwear collection centers around the Speedcat, originally launched in 1999 as a flat-soled driving shoe designed for fast, precise movement. For this release, the Speedcat becomes the Destroyed Speedcat, stripped of structural components to create a flexible, sock-like form. A cut-off Formstrip, first introduced by PUMA in 1958 runs across the upper, further softening the silhouette while referencing its origins.
A slip-on version of the Speedcat appears in supple leather, eliminating laces to refine the silhouette into a more fluid form. Another design, the Balenciaga and PUMA Ballerina, reworks the sneaker into a hybrid satin flat, pulling references from both performance and studio footwear.

Balenciaga manufactured all apparel for the collaboration using in-house methods. The line includes technical sweatsuits cut from extra-dry molleton and finished with the Balenciaga lion crest emblem. This detail connects the garments to vintage soccer warm-ups while introducing a distinct visual cue. Tracksuits in both crisp and faded nylon incorporate archival PUMA design elements from the 1990s.
Additional designs expand the visual language of both brands. A shearling jacket, shaped like a tracksuit top, transforms outerwear into athletic form. One piece, a suede bathrobe coat, features a trompe-l’œil finish and a brushed molleton lining, turning loungewear into a sculpted silhouette. Throughout the capsule, hoodies, T-shirts, and shorts come in Balenciaga’s signature sizing categories: fitted, medium, and oversized. Each one carries the co-branded Balenciaga and PUMA logo, printed across the chest or back, depending on the piece.

The full Balenciaga x PUMA collection will release in select Balenciaga stores globally and through the brand’s online platform. The collaboration marks another chapter in Balenciaga’s seasonal approach to technical garment design and builds on PUMA’s track record of reimagining archival performance styles.
