Matières Fécales FW25 Campaign Finds Home in Place Vendôme

The “Vendôme” campaign captures the designers’ experience of finding familiarity in Paris through clothing, photography, and setting.

Matières Fécales FW25 Campaign Finds Home in Place Vendôme

Matières Fécales introduces its FW25 campaign titled Vendôme, a continuation of the creative duo’s evolving narrative. Known for their fearless approach, the designers frame the campaign through personal experience, grounding the project in the streets of Paris. The work comes to life not in a polished studio but in the raw presence of Place Vendôme, where the collection takes shape as an act of self-definition.

The duo’s first collection, The Other, set the tone for their practice by addressing the experience of feeling different. That chapter introduced a language rooted in acceptance of displacement, and it established their perspective within the fashion field. With Vendôme, they extend that exploration, translating it into a direct encounter with one of Paris’ most recognizable sites.

Since moving to Paris, the designers have faced the challenge of belonging within a society shaped by traditional bourgeois codes. The city’s polished image offered little sense of home until an ordinary evening walk altered their view. Passing through Place Vendôme, they felt an urgency that surprised them. The square, framed by architecture and anchored by the Vendôme Column, holds an international reputation as a symbol of luxury. Instead of feeling excluded, they recognized a strange familiarity. That moment shifted their perception, turning a place of distance into one of connection.

That realization became the catalyst for the Fall Winter 2025 campaign. Model Hannah Rose Dalton stepped in front of the camera while photographer Steven Raj Bhaskaran directed the shoot, creating a dialogue between subject and observer. The decision reinforced the sense of authenticity, allowing the campaign to remain true to its roots. Christian Louboutin provided the shoes for the looks, further linking the project to Parisian codes of luxury.

The FW25 collection will be available at Dover Street Market and select international retailers, ensuring its reach goes beyond the Paris setting where it was conceived.
