Jordan Brand introduces the Tatum 4, the latest signature sneaker for Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum. The new model arrives as the fourth entry in his line and reflects both his evolution as a player and his resilience in the face of challenges. The shoe will be released on October 10 in full family sizing on jordan’s official site and at select retailers.
Tatum frames the release as part of his personal growth. “Greatness isn’t just about wins. It’s about how you handle setbacks and keep moving forward,” he explains. “Getting back to my best hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has taught me something and made me stronger. I’m not the same player I was before, and I’m proud of that. The Tatum 4 is part of that journey: It’s built for the grind and reminds me what resilience looks like when you’re chasing something bigger than yourself.”

The Tatum 4 is designed to remain the lightest shoe in the Jordan Brand basketball line while improving responsiveness and containment. It features a Cushlon 3.0 midsole paired with an S-seam Strobel for a smoother ride, along with a forefoot Air Zoom unit for propulsion and a TPU stability shank for locked-in support. This combination enables both fluidity and stability for athletes who need speed and control.
The upper uses a four-way stretch underlay with a conforming design that provides a secure fit from the first wear. On the outsole, multi-traction channels increase grip for quick directional changes, cuts, and drives. Together, these innovations create a shoe built for players who thrive on both shiftiness and power.

Edric Egberuare, Lead Product Line Manager for Jordan Brand Global Footwear, describes the goal behind the model: “With the Tatum 4, we set out to build a silhouette that mirrors Jayson’s evolution, not just in how he plays but in how he leads. The combination of Cushlon 3.0, forefoot Air Zoom and a midfoot stability shank delivers the responsiveness and containment elite athletes need, while the close-to-foot design supports quick, confident movement. It’s a performance system built for the grind – and for the next generation of hoopers who see Jayson not just as a star but as a blueprint for what’s possible.”
The shoe’s launch colorway pays tribute to Tatum’s hometown of St. Louis. Details include a “0” at the heel, echoing both his jersey number and his signature chain pendant. High-quality suede gives the silhouette a premium finish, while mesh elements reference the city’s dynamic energy.
The Jordan Tatum 4 will release on October 10, 2025, at jordan.com and select retailers.
