The North Face introduced its HKe collection, a line that pushes performance innovation while embracing cultural expression. The collection presents advanced outdoor technology through a lifestyle lens, designed for consumers who see exploration as both functional and personal.

HKe builds on the idea of performance as more than endurance or utility. The line reflects a growing community that connects technical design to cultural identity. It invites individuals to explore nature with curiosity and to define their presence through apparel that adapts to both rugged conditions and expressive style.

At the core of HKe stands SPECTRA, an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber with exceptional strength-to-weight properties. Recognized as one of the most durable fibers available, SPECTRA anchors the collection to The North Face’s continuous drive for material advancement. It introduces new standards of resilience while positioning HKe as a design-driven status symbol in both outdoor and lifestyle categories.

To mark the launch, The North Face worked with Dutch designer and artist Johannes Offerhaus on a large-scale project. Offerhaus created a sculpture built from SPECTRA fabric, carried by his team with custom-built packs to the chosen site. Every component of the installation traveled by foot, reinforcing the theme of exploration that shapes the collection. After completion, all materials left the site with the team, underscoring the brand’s practice of leaving natural environments untouched.

Silhouettes in the collection balance performance design with lifestyle versatility, aligning with the Post-GORP movement while remaining rooted in authenticity. Each piece demonstrates a dual focus: technical reliability paired with a modern outdoor aesthetic. The collection defines what The North Face envisions as the next era of performance apparel, one shaped by creativity and cultural resonance.

The range includes five core pieces. The HKe Devils Thumb GTX Jacket delivers waterproof protection through GORE-TEX 2L fabric, Spectra ripstop reinforcement, pit-zip venting, and a stowable hood. The HKe TNFTM Tek Approach Jacket focuses on targeted warmth with WINDWALLTM fabric, recycled polyester construction, scuba hood, thumbholes, and multiple secure pockets. The HKe Utility Wind Jacket combines recycled nylon with ripstop panels and FLASHDRYTM fabric for moisture control, featuring a stowable hood, mesh lining, and adjustable hem. The HKe Kalix Down Hoodie uses hybrid insulation with 700-fill goose down and HEATSEEKERTM synthetic inserts, reinforced by Cordura overlays and finished with secure storage options. A second Tek Approach Jacket variation follows the same construction principles, offering hybrid fleece mapping, WINDWALLTM protection, and ergonomic detailing.

The HKe collection is now available at select lifestyle retail partners and online. Prices range from $150 to $550.
