The world of watchmaking continues to offer plenty to explore, from technically ambitious movements and elaborate dial designs to vintage pieces finding their way into contemporary wardrobes. This month’s selection brings together five stories that reflect the different directions of luxury watchmaking, including new releases from established maisons, a decade-long Formula 1 partnership, and a rare Piaget watch worn by Justin Bieber.
WATCHES
Girard-Perregaux introduces rose gold into its Three Bridges architecture, while Louis Vuitton expands the Tambour Convergence collection with a polished steel design. Vacheron Constantin turns to traditional decorative techniques for its Year of the Goat editions, and TAG Heuer marks ten years with Oracle Red Bull Racing. Meanwhile, Bieber’s vintage Piaget offers a reminder of the distinctive jewellery watches that continue to attract collectors and fashion enthusiasts.

Girard-Perregaux
Girard-Perregaux Introduces Rose Gold
to the Laureato Three Gold Bridges
Girard-Perregaux revisits one of its most recognisable mechanical constructions with the Laureato Three Gold Bridges, introducing rose gold to the architectural elements that define the movement. The design traces its origins to 1867, when the manufacture established the Three Bridges configuration that continues to influence its watchmaking.
The latest interpretation places three rose gold bridges within the Laureato’s distinctive case architecture, framed by a white gold octagonal bezel. Their arrow-shaped contours feature polished bevels and satin-finished surfaces, drawing attention to the arrangement of the movement.
The GP9620 calibre uses an extensively skeletonised construction, revealing the alignment of the barrel, gear train and tourbillon. A platinum micro-rotor and lyre-shaped titanium tourbillon cage complete the mechanism.
The 41mm steel case measures 10.85mm thick, while the movement offers a 55-hour power reserve. Its finishing includes 418 hand-polished angles, including 362 inward angles. A single watchmaker oversees the assembly and signs the movement, connecting the technical construction to the individual responsible for its completion.

Louis Vuitton Presents the
Tambour Convergence Mirror Steel
Louis Vuitton introduces the Tambour Convergence Mirror Steel, expanding the collection first launched in 2025 with a refined interpretation of the traditional montre à guichet. Developed entirely at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the watch displays hours and minutes through rotating discs visible beneath an arched aperture with scalloped edges. A sculpted lozenge between the discs provides a central reference point for reading the time.
The design draws inspiration from the architectural details of the Louis Vuitton family home in Asnières, particularly the shape of the display window. The polished steel surface gives the watch its distinctive mirror-like appearance, placing emphasis on the sculptural qualities of its case and unconventional time display.

Vacheron Constantin Celebrates
the Year of the Goat
Vacheron Constantin introduces two limited editions of its Métiers d’Art The Legend of the Chinese Zodiac collection, dedicated to the Year of the Goat in 2027. The release continues the manufacture’s exploration of Chinese cultural traditions through decorative watchmaking techniques.
The watches feature 40mm cases in 950 platinum or 18-karat 5N pink gold, with each edition limited to 25 pieces.
The dials combine relief engraving, micro-painting and grand feu enamelling to depict the zodiac animal. Vacheron Constantin uses its Calibre 2460 G4 to provide a hands-free display, allowing the decorative composition to occupy the main dial surface.
The movement’s display arrangement creates space for the engraved and enamelled artwork while retaining the watch’s timekeeping functions. The result places the decorative work at the centre of the design, with the mechanical construction supporting its presentation.

TAG Heuer Marks 10 Years
With Oracle Red Bull Racing in Austin
TAG Heuer celebrated a decade of partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing during the 2026 United States Grand Prix in Austin. The occasion followed the launch of the Formula 1 Solargraph x Oracle Red Bull Racing, a special-edition timepiece that incorporates the racing team’s colours and visual identity.
The 38mm watch features a sandblasted steel case, a blue sunray-brushed dial, a red flange and a yellow central seconds hand. Its solar-powered TH50-00 movement uses natural or artificial light, offering up to ten months of autonomy on a full charge. The watch retails for $2,250 in the United States.
TAG Heuer opened the race weekend with a reception at the Fairmont Austin rooftop on October 22. Four-time Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen joined ambassadors Kai Lenny and Summer McIntosh for a discussion moderated by James Hinchcliffe. A projection installation featuring an Oracle Red Bull Racing car accompanied the event.

Justin Bieber Wears a Vintage Piaget
With Opal and Onyx
Justin Bieber has added a vintage Piaget timepiece to his watch collection, appearing with the reference 9131D during a visit to South Korea over the weekend.
The watch features an opal and black onyx dial accented with diamonds, paired with a white gold bracelet. The arrangement of contrasting stones gives the piece a distinctive appearance, drawing attention to Piaget’s approach to jewellery-focused watchmaking.
The musician’s latest acquisition brings attention to vintage watches that place decorative materials and precious metals at the forefront of their design. While the brand continues producing contemporary timepieces, its earlier jewellery watches remain a notable part of its design history.
Bieber’s choice also reflects the interest in vintage luxury watches among musicians and fashion personalities, particularly models with unusual dials, sculptural bracelets and gemstone details.
