“I have always championed the next generation of design talent. It has never been more important to support and encourage our global creative community, and I am honored to be President of the Latin American Fashion Awards,” said Donatella Versace.
Her appointment reinforces the growing global influence of Latin American designers and creative voices. As President of the Jury, Donatella will lead a panel that includes Nina García, Anna Dello Russo, Carmen Busquets, Imran Amed, Steven Kolb, Carlo Capasa, Kean Etro, Sara Sozzani Maino, Vivian Sotocorno, Gabriela Hearst, Zélika García, Karla Martínez de Salas, Alessia Glaviano, Oskar Metsavaht, and Carlos Nazario, each representing a different facet of the contemporary fashion industry.
Donatella’s participation symbolizes a union of visionaries: her decades-long legacy of innovation and empowerment with the fearless creativity that defines Latin design. As the creative force behind Versace for nearly three decades, she reshaped modern luxury and championed individuality, diversity, and inclusivity. After transitioning to Chief Brand Ambassador in 2025, she continues to represent the house globally while advancing its philanthropic efforts.
Founded by Constanza Cavalli Etro and Silvia Argüello, the Latin American Fashion Awards have quickly become one of the most influential global platforms celebrating the region’s creativity. Often referred to as the “Oscars of Latin Fashion,” the event’s first edition drew participants from over 25 countries and generated more than 3.3 billion media impressions. The upcoming 2025 edition will culminate in a four-day celebration, with winners receiving mentorship and visibility opportunities during Milan Fashion Week 2026.
Under the theme Hot by Heritage, this year’s edition pays tribute to the richness, strength, and cultural depth of Latin America, a creative force that continues to shape global fashion.
