Salomon and Andrew introduce their first collaboration with the XT-6 Andrew, a reinterpretation of the brand’s flagship Sportstyle model shaped by Miami’s vivid character and one of its most recognized culinary symbols: the Florida stone crab. The project builds on the XT-6’s established legacy while connecting it closely to the city that influenced Andrew’s creative direction.
SNEAKERS
The Florida stone crab serves as the creative anchor for the XT-6 Andrew. In Miami, the return of stone crab season marks a distinct shift in local rhythm. Restaurants receive the first harvest in October, and the demand continues until May, when the season closes. The crab’s coral shell, black speckles, and pale interior create a natural palette that translates cleanly into footwear.

Andrew uses the XT-6 as a canvas to translate the full sensory experience of a stone crab feast. The gradient coral upper references the shell’s coloring, while black speckling reflects the crab’s exterior pattern. Cream tones nod to the edible flesh, giving the palette depth and a sense of origin. The design extends beyond the crab itself and draws from the environment surrounding the dish. Metallic touches on the shoe echo the polished serving trays seen in Miami’s long-standing seafood institutions. Small flashes of citrus green take cues from lime and lemon wedges, which accompany every serving and cut through the richness of the meal. The sock-liner features an icy print that mimics the crushed ice that keeps every claw chilled before it reaches the table.
The XT-6 first appeared in 2013 as a performance shoe built for athletes competing in long-distance races across demanding terrain. Salomon engineered the silhouette with cushioning, stability, and durability that could withstand extreme conditions. The model gained a wide following and became one of the brand’s most recognizable Sportstyle shapes as it transitioned into everyday wear.

This collaboration positions the XT-6 within Miami’s social fabric through Andrew’s approach to local culture. The shoe carries references that Miami residents and visitors recognize instantly, from the specific coral tones to the citrus accents and metallic textures. Andrew channels the city’s energy in a direct way, drawing from food culture as an entry point. The design reflects Miami’s rhythm: loud color, fast movement, and a sense of confidence shaped by environment and routine
The Salomon XT-6 Andrew releases exclusively through Andrew Miami on December 4. A wider launch follows on December 8 at 10 a.m. CET through Salomon boutiques, website, and select global retailers.
