PUMA Basketball has announced a collaboration with Universal Pictures‘ Fast & Furious franchise, introducing a sneaker and apparel collection tied to Charlotte Hornets star guard LaMelo Ball and the long-running film series. The release aligns with the franchise’s 25th anniversary and arrives ahead of NBA All-Star Weekend.
SNEAKERS
The collection includes four footwear designs based on the MB.05, LaFrancé, and LaFrancé RNR. Each version references specific cars and scenes from the films while keeping ties to Ball’s on-court line. PUMA develops the shoes as individual expressions within one release, with distinct color treatments and graphic approaches assigned to each model.

LaFrancé RNR Charger draws from Dom Toretto’s Dodge Charger. The shoe uses an all-black finish with chrome accents that echo muscle car styling. The design emphasizes weight and surface contrast through hardware-like detailing rather than layered color. LaFrancé Miami shifts the tone with silver and blue, referencing Brian O’Conner’s Skyline. Custom graphics and Y2K-coded visuals define the shoe, aligning automotive cues with early-2000s culture.
MB.05 Miami connects to the Miami street-racing scene from 2 Fast 2 Furious and Suki’s pink car. The shoe arrives in hot pink with floral graphics and molded barbed wire details integrated into the upper. MB.05 LA takes a different approach, applying flame-style graphics and high-voltage color accents across Ball’s current signature silhouette. Hidden Melo references appear throughout the shoe, tying the film inspiration back to the athlete.

PUMA schedules the release for February 12, 2026. Footwear prices range from $115 to $135. Alongside the sneakers, the brand introduces an apparel offering that includes T-shirts, shorts, a hoodie, sweatpants, and a jacket. Apparel prices range from $35 to $145. The full collection will reach PUMA.com, PUMA Flagship stores in New York City and Las Vegas, and select retailers.
To mark the launch, PUMA Hoops will host a pop-up experience in Los Angeles during NBA All-Star Weekend. The activation will run from Thursday, February 12 through Sunday, February 15 at 1046 S Figueroa Street. The pop-up will feature interactive product displays for the PUMA x Fast & Furious sneakers, presentations of on-court and off-court colorways, and in-store experiences coordinated with retail partners. Fans will also find engagement activities, giveaways, and opportunities to receive limited-edition merchandise.
