Etro has announced the conclusion of its collaboration with Marco De Vincenzo, who has served as Creative Director of the Italian house for nearly four years. The decision was reached by mutual agreement and marks the beginning of a new strategic phase for the brand.

During his tenure, De Vincenzo played a central role in shaping Etro’s recent creative direction. His work focused on interpreting and strengthening the Maison’s established visual language while introducing renewed stylistic energy across the collections. Through his approach, the designer guided the house through a period of aesthetic evolution that built on Etro’s longstanding identity.

Across ready-to-wear and accessories, De Vincenzo explored the brand’s distinctive codes with a contemporary perspective. His collections drew on Etro’s heritage of craftsmanship, pattern, and textile research, presenting them within updated silhouettes and compositions that reflected a modern interpretation of the house’s design language.
The period also coincided with broader changes within the company. In July 2021, investment firm L Catterton acquired a majority stake in Etro, marking a significant shift in the brand’s ownership structure. More recently, in December 2025, a pool of industrial investors led by Rams Global, alongside Mathias Facchini of Swinger International and Giulio Gallazzi through SRI Group, acquired the minority stake previously held by the Etro family.

In its official statement, Etro expressed gratitude to De Vincenzo for his work and commitment during his time with the company. The brand acknowledged the designer’s professionalism and creative contribution, wishing him success in his future projects.
Looking ahead, the Milan-based house continues to focus on strengthening its lifestyle positioning while developing its global presence. Founded in 1968 by Gerolamo Etro, the brand today offers a wide range of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, home collections, fragrances, and more recently kidswear and eyewear. With more than 160 stores across over 20 countries, Etro maintains a strong presence in major luxury destinations including Milan, London, Paris, Dubai, New York, Beijing, and Tokyo.
