According to the official statement, Gabbana resigned from positions across multiple entities within the group, including Dolce & Gabbana Holding Srl, Dolce & Gabbana Trademarks Srl, and Dolce & Gabbana Srl. The company described the decision as part of a “natural evolution” of its organizational structure, positioning the change within a broader adjustment of internal operations.

The brand addressed speculation surrounding his departure directly, clarifying that the resignation carries no impact on his work as a designer. Gabbana continues to lead creative activities alongside Domenico Dolce, maintaining the partnership that has defined the house since its founding.
Established in 1985 by Dolce and Gabbana, the company remains privately owned, with Gabbana holding a significant stake in the business. His continued presence within the creative direction ensures continuity at a moment when the brand navigates internal and external shifts. The announcement arrives amid broader industry pressure, with reports indicating that Dolce & Gabbana is in ongoing discussions with lenders regarding its debt position.
While the governance change introduces a new phase in the company’s structure, the creative leadership remains intact. Gabbana’s role within the design process continues, reinforcing the stability of the brand’s visual identity despite adjustments at the executive level.
