Blackpink’s Lisa will perform at the 2026 FIFA tournament opening ceremony in Los Angeles, adding another major international stage to her solo career. The singer joins a lineup that includes Katy Perry, Tyla, Future, Anitta, and Rema, with more names still to come. Her appearance makes her the first Thai artist and first female K-pop act to open the tournament, placing her at the center of one of next summer’s biggest live events.

The Los Angeles ceremony takes place on June 12 at Los Angeles Stadium, before the United States plays Paraguay. The show begins 90 minutes before kick-off. Stadium gates open four hours earlier, giving fans access to entertainment and activations before the match. FIFA has framed the Los Angeles event as one of three major opening ceremonies tied to the tournament, with Mexico City and Toronto also hosting their own programs during the first two days.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced the Los Angeles lineup through his official account and described the event as a major showcase for the scale of the 2026 tournament. He called Los Angeles the entertainment capital and positioned the ceremony as a sign of the size and ambition behind the upcoming competition. For Lisa, the performance continues a year of major solo visibility, following her appearance at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026.
Lisa’s inclusion also reflects the global reach of K-pop within major sports and entertainment programming. As a member of Blackpink and a solo artist, she has built a fanbase far beyond South Korea and Thailand, giving FIFA a performer with strong international recognition. The Los Angeles ceremony places her alongside pop, hip-hop, Latin, Afrobeats, and R&B artists, creating a lineup designed for a broad audience before the United States opens its campaign.

Reports also connect Lisa to an official tournament soundtrack with Anitta, Rema, and Brazilian music group Tropkillaz. FIFA has yet to announce all performers tied to the Los Angeles ceremony, and additional details could expand the music program closer to the event. Still, Lisa already stands as one of the most discussed names in the lineup.
The 2026 tournament begins one day earlier, on June 11, in Mexico City. Alejandro Fernandez, J Balvin, Tyla, Mexican pop-rock band Maná, Belinda, and more will perform before Mexico faces South Africa in the first match. Toronto will host Canada’s opening ceremony on June 12, with performances by Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, and other Canadian artists before Canada plays Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The United States, Canada, and Mexico co-host the 2026 edition, which will feature 104 matches in 16 host cities. The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19, with the final scheduled for New York New Jersey Stadium. Within that larger schedule, Lisa’s Los Angeles performance gives the opening weekend one of its strongest pop culture moments.
