Moncler introduces the CityTrek, a new sneaker that draws from vintage trail footwear and the brand’s long experience with outdoor design. The model translates technical mountain references into a refined option for daily city use, with a focus on comfort, material quality and practical performance. Its shape recalls classic trail sneakers, while its construction supports long periods of walking through urban environments.

The CityTrek uses a mixed-material upper to create structure, breathability and visual depth. Nylon panels cover the sides, while suede trim adds a softer surface around the shoe. A Cordura panel at the front allows airflow and supports the sneaker during regular use. Moncler adds a smooth leather tab at the back, which helps the shoe sit closely around the ankle and provides a secure fit.
The sole unit supports the CityTrek’s focus on everyday comfort. A cushioned midsole absorbs impact and creates a softer feeling underfoot throughout the day. Beneath it, a natural gum Vibram outsole provides grip and durability for regular movement on city streets. Its shape takes cues from vintage waffle soles, connecting the shoe’s technical construction with the trail sneakers that informed the design.
Moncler gives the CityTrek a chalky stone palette that keeps the different materials visually connected. The restrained color treatment allows the nylon, suede, Cordura and leather surfaces to define the sneaker through texture. Each material contributes a specific function while maintaining a clean and consistent appearance.
The palette also places greater attention on the construction. The nylon side panels establish the main structure, the suede trim frames the upper, and the Cordura front panel introduces ventilation. Smooth leather shapes the rear section around the ankle. Moncler uses these components to create a sneaker that feels polished enough for the city and capable enough for continuous daily wear.
Monduck, the brand’s mascot, appears inside the elasticated tongue and reveals the shoe size through a playful graphic element. A tricolor flag marks the heel, while a stitched M signature runs along the sides.
The elasticated tongue supports a close fit and helps the wearer put on the sneaker with minimal adjustment. Together with the leather back tab and cushioned sole, it creates a construction that supports extended city wear. The combination of breathable fabric, supportive materials and a high-performance outsole gives the model a practical role within an everyday wardrobe.
