Nike SB has revealed the official images of the Nike SB Air Force 1 Low “Light Chocolate,” introducing skate-focused changes to one of Nike’s most recognizable basketball designs. The upcoming release keeps the familiar low-top profile while adjusting its construction for time on the board. Earth-toned suede gives the shoe its main visual identity, while added padding and a reworked midsole support its performance purpose.

SNEAKERS

Rich brown suede covers the upper and gives the sneaker a uniform, textured finish. The material extends across the toe box, side panels, eyestays and surrounding overlays, creating a tonal base inspired by natural shades. Nike adds black details throughout the design to create a clear division between the upper and its supporting elements.

A black Swoosh runs along each side, while matching black laces continue the dark detailing through the center of the shoe. Nike also uses black on the heel tab, tongue label and midsole. These elements frame the brown suede and give the sneaker a grounded two-tone color scheme. The sole unit carries the same dark finish, connecting the upper to a skate-ready foundation.

The color combination recalls the visual direction of earlier Nike SB releases, including the Nike SB Dunk Low “Mocha/Tweed” from 2007. Both designs use brown materials and dark accents, though the Air Force 1 Low “Light Chocolate” follows its own construction and identity. Its proportions remain connected to the original basketball model, while the updated materials and technical changes place it firmly within Nike SB’s skateboarding line.

Nike retains the recognizable Air Force 1 shape, including its rounded toe, structured panels and substantial sole. The sneaker still reads clearly as an Air Force 1, even with its altered materials and board-focused adjustments.

The most important updates appear beneath and inside the shoe. Nike introduces a reworked midsole intended to improve boardfeel, helping riders maintain a closer connection with the deck. The modification addresses one of the main differences between basketball footwear and skate shoes, since skateboarders require greater sensitivity underfoot during turns, tricks and landings.

Nike also adds extra padding around the tongue and sockliner. These padded sections increase comfort during skate sessions and provide additional cushioning around the foot. Nike SB will release the sneaker on August 13, 2026.
