Gap introduces its Fall 2026 campaign, “Denim on your own,” starring musician Malcolm Todd and actress Inde Navarrette. The campaign pairs the two emerging talents with GapDenim and features Todd’s original interpretation of Robyn’s “Dancing on My Own,” which he recorded specifically for the project.

The campaign brings Todd and Navarrette together through music, fashion and individual expression. Each approaches the project from a different creative perspective, while Gap uses denim as a way to explore personal style. Director Tanu Muiño leads the campaign, with creative direction from Calvin Leung, Head of Gap Brand Creative, fashion and image by Alastair McKimm, and photography by Bjorn Loos.
Muiño follows Todd and Navarrette through a series of distinct spaces as they establish their individual styles through clothing, movement and performance. Gap connects their approach to the idea behind “Denim on your own,” which encourages people to interpret familiar denim pieces according to their own preferences.
Todd also reshapes “Dancing on My Own” for the campaign. Gap asked the musician to approach Robyn’s song from his own perspective and create a version suited to his musical identity. Fabiola Torres, Chief Marketing Officer of Gap brand, connects that interpretation directly to GapDenim and the idea of finding fits and styles that feel personal.

“I’ve always been drawn to making things my own, whether that’s through music, style, or the way I express myself,” Todd said. He described the opportunity to reinterpret the song and work on a large Gap production while maintaining his own approach as especially meaningful.
Todd has built recognition through his playful approach to songwriting and production. Multiple songs have reached platinum status, while his latest album, Do That Again, released through Columbia Records, debuted within the top five of the Billboard charts. He will begin a sold out 38 date North American tour on September 2.

Navarrette joins the project following the success of OBSESSION, described as a critically acclaimed global box office phenomenon. She brings her acting experience into a campaign built around personality and individual interpretation.
“From the moment we started filming the Gap campaign, it felt like we were able to bring our own energy and personalities to the campaign,” Navarrette said. She also pointed to the freedom to experiment and express herself during filming as central to the experience.

For Fall 2026, Gap updates its denim offering through new washes, utility inspired colorways and revised silhouettes. The collection focuses on fit, versatility and personal style while revisiting recognizable Gap denim codes. Navarrette wears the Mid Rise Straight Taper Jean, one of the season’s new styles, while Todd appears in the ’90s Loose Jean, a returning Gap favorite.
Gap has produced denim since 1969, and the category remains closely connected to the brand’s identity. With “Denim on your own,” the company places a new generation of creative talent within that history and uses music, acting and fashion to introduce its Fall 2026 collection through Todd and Navarrette’s individual perspectives.
