DI PETSA presented Spring Summer 2027 collection, titled HOLY MILK, on September 21 at Banking Hall during London Fashion Week. Dimitra Petsa built the collection around motherhood, birth and self-creation, using milk, water and the maternal body throughout the clothes, jewellery and live performance.
SPRING SUMMER 2027
HOLY MILK connects physical motherhood with the idea of creating new versions of oneself through growth. Petsa develops self-mothering as a recurring process in which personal change brings another self into being. The collection links that idea with ancient ritual and with the ocean, which Petsa treats as a maternal force connecting the body with nature.
Milk provides one of the collection’s main recurring elements. DI PETSA draws from its maternal, erotic and ritual associations and uses it as both physical substance and symbol. Water continues Petsa’s established interest in bodily fluidity and gives the collection another link between skin, clothing and the ocean.
White dominates the clothes through lace, translucent fabrics, draped jersey and luminous surfaces. Bridal silhouettes appear beside close-fitting, body-conscious forms, while exposed skin and liquid textures bring a more visceral quality. Deep blue, black and liquid gold interrupt the white palette and introduce darker tones.
Ramona Tabita styled HOLY MILK through combinations of bare skin, delicate lace, translucent layers, draped jersey and sculptural silhouettes. Larger bridal volumes appear beside fitted forms, creating clear shifts in scale and coverage while keeping the body visible throughout much of the collection.
DI PETSA also collaborated with Awe Inspired, the show’s official jewellery partner, on pieces developed specifically for Spring Summer 2027. Pearls, stones, chains and sun motifs appear in layered necklaces, sculptural chokers, cascading earrings and body jewellery.
Awe Inspired incorporated its “WET” pieces into the collaboration, connecting them with DI PETSA’s longstanding interest in water. Suspended forms rest close to the skin, while heavier chains and sculptural pieces create a ceremonial quality.
Awe Inspired and DI PETSA will release the Spring Summer 2027 jewellery collection commercially in March 2027.
The London presentation continued DI PETSA’s work with live performance following its recent theatre production at The Barbican. Mothers and pregnant models appeared alongside models carrying glasses of milk, bringing the collection’s themes of motherhood, creation and rebirth into the staging.
A sculptural lactating bra became one of the presentation’s defining pieces. During the performance, the bra released streams of milk, placing an intimate bodily act directly within the runway setting. The piece connected motherhood, the body and care with the highly constructed environment of a fashion presentation.
