Antonio Marras builds Spring Summer 2027 around the morning after the night of St. John in Alghero. The collection begins with Antiogu and Ippolita, a couple preparing to marry at midday after a night filled with bonfires, music, guests and a long table set outdoors. The story follows the hours when sleep, memory and reality start to blur, giving Marras the setting for a collection shaped by what remains after the night ends.
SPRING SUMMER 2027
That idea enters the clothes through texture, layering and surface treatment. Marras imagines guests who still wear the same clothes from the night before, with salt on their skin and myrtle caught in their hair. Lace, precious fabrics, hand-worked details and sculptural surfaces carry those traces into the collection, while familiar pieces gain a couture character through treatment and construction.
The palette starts with honey, cream, sand and nude, followed by gold and stone tones. Powder pink and dusty blue lead into ecru, military green, mud and black. Marras uses these colors to reflect the transition from night to midday and the relationship between earth, light and sea.
Print and surface work add another layer. Stripes, checks and camouflage appear alongside painterly flowers. Inlays, embroidery, aerodynamic pleats, crystals and tactile patches spread through dresses, bags and shoes. Marras pairs silk, chiffon, organza, tulle, macramé lace, Chantilly lace and satin with cool wool, poplin, leather, brocade, jacquard and sequins. Knitwear follows the body, denim keeps a grounded quality, and a deconstructed parka takes on a couture treatment while retaining its original reference.
Soft yet structured bags appear in white, plum and black with spherical metal elements, embroidered surfaces and three-dimensional finishes. Pointed slingbacks come in mud, powder pink, burgundy and black, with embroidery, studs and multicolored crystals. Classic loafers keep their recognizable form while absorbing the materials and details used throughout the collection.
Jewelry comes through a new collaboration with Giovanni Raspini. Burnished bronze created through lost-wax micro-casting meets semi-precious stones, minerals, feathers, mother-of-pearl flakes, papier-mâché, resins, fabrics and lace. Sardinian masks, flowers, geckos, bucrania and seaweed inform sculptural pieces made for the runway.
Marras presents the collection at Giardino Vincenzo Muccioli in Milan, transforming the space into an imagined corner of Sardinia with a long table and an open format that allows passersby to become part of the event. The setting mirrors the collection’s central idea: a summer gathering that continues into the day, carrying memory through clothes, objects and the people who wear them.
