Discover Officine Generale‘s Fall Winter 2019.20 Kindness collection, inspired by the fact that word kindness has been named word of 2018 in France, and interpreting it as a sign of incredible resilience and determination to move forward, presented during the last day of Paris Fashion Week.

“And now you’re asking yourself, what does kindness have to do with this collection? First, it has a role in the way we now rationalize our use of fabrics. Always the most noble, the highest quality, that’s what built such a trustful relationship between us and our clients. Italian thread is threaded in Italy, British and Scottish yarn is yarned in Scotland, etc. But, wanting the best the world has to offer for your clients comes with issues. The dark side of high end clothing and its impact on the planet: transportation. Therefore, I’ve decided to stop working with Japanese denim and to only get denim supply from Europe. Our clothes have to have the smallest carbon footprint possible.
Kindness is also found in our first-ever running shoes, entirely manufactured in Portugal with a Vibram sole, as light as it is flexible. We continue exploring the suits, in all its forms, and indispensable piece of clothing that I will never get tired of. Ultra-exclusive flannel from Fox Brother, various thickness in the velvet and 4-threads Fresco wool. This season we’re playing a little bit more on the jacket’s shapes, unstructured with patch pockets, straight not so classic or one-and-half breasted that looks incredible worn open. We present them in an even more deconstructed way, to let superposition and matchings express themselves.“
