Fashion brand BORAMY VIGUIER unveiled their Spring Summer 2022 Menswear Collection, that explores one’s relationship with their own mortality, as well as their relationship with an idea of the death of a nation or a civilization. The collection was inspired by the current health situation, and it explores a world lacking transcendence. The brand presented 28 looks with a fashion film directed by Samuel Rixon & Boramy Viguier, as part of the recently finished Paris Fashion Week. Boramy Viguier also introduced 1/1 One-of-a-kind capsule created from designer’s studio deadstocks, second hand clothes and ties intended to be destroyed.
SPRING SUMMER 2022 MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
“For Spring/Summer 2022, Boramy Viguier rethinks the classic runway shows and uses at his advantage digital tools to reveal what cannot be seen in a physical event: garments with accentuated mouvements from models running in slow motion, bringing a dramatic dimension to the silhouettes. Like in an epic or adventure movie, for this short movie, we are surrounded by multiple references coming from all eras and all countries, which reflects in every look, in every choice of fabric. False scalps used as accessories, rigid tailoring, long tunics, warrior silhouettes, unique pieces crafted from old garments, jacquard knits, oriental brocades,…” – Boramy Viguier
