The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and Vogue have revealed the finalists for the 2024 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund (CVFF). This year’s distinguished finalists include Taylor Thompson of 5000, Connor McKnight, Grace Ling, Kate Barton, Dynasty and Soull Ogun of L’ENCHANTEUR, Spencer Phipps of PHIPPS, Presley Oldham, Sebastien and Marianne Amisial of SEBASTIEN AMI, Jane Wade, and Jackson Wiederhoeft of WIEDERHOEFT.

The announcement took place during a memorable cocktail party at Le Chalet at L’Avenue at Saks in New York, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Fashion Fund. The finalists were revealed by 2023 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Melitta Baumeister, along with runners-up Rachel Scott of Diotima and Henry Zankov of Zankov. The event highlighted the creativity and ambition of this year’s finalists, who represent the future of American fashion.
Anna Wintour, Chief Content Officer of Condé Nast and Global Editorial Director of Vogue, praised the finalists, stating, “What better way to celebrate the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund’s twentieth year than with this year’s group of finalists, who perfectly represent the creativity and ambition of American fashion today. Every year the finalists thrill and surprise us as we get to know them, and the class of 2024 will, I am sure, be no different.”

Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA, echoed this sentiment, adding, “This milestone year’s group of CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists reflects the creativity and diversity of American design, from women’s and men’s sportswear to eveningwear and semi-precious, fashion, and ethical jewelry. These exciting young voices will play a significant role in shaping the future of American fashion.”

The winner of the 2024 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund will receive $300,000, while the two runners-up will each take home $100,000. Beyond the monetary awards, the program continues to provide meaningful business mentorships and pathways to success for all finalists. This initiative is generously supported by Fashion League, Instagram, Nordstrom, Saks, Tommy Hilfiger, and Vogue.
Saks has provided ongoing support for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, aligning with the retailer’s strategy to support the next generation of fashion talent by providing exposure, education, and equitable access to opportunities for success. The members of the 2023 Selection Committee include industry leaders such as Anna Wintour, Aurora James, Eva Chen, Mark Holgate, Nicole Phelps, Paloma Elsesser, Rickie De Sole, Roopal Patel, Steven Kolb, and Thom Browne.
As part of the Fashion Fund season, Nordstrom will invite the ten finalists to participate in the Nordstrom Secure the SPACE Challenge for the second year. One winner will be selected to have their collection carried at select Nordstrom stores for an upcoming season. Additionally, the Fashion Fund is bringing back the Design Challenge, supported by the Tommy Hilfiger company, with Tommy Hilfiger himself serving as the lead mentor. The winner of the Fashion Fund will be announced in mid-October at a celebratory dinner gala.

The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund was established after 9/11 to help emerging designers and cultivate the next generation of American fashion talent.
