MM6 Maison Margiela has been announced as the guest designer for the upcoming Pitti Immagine Uomo 107, held in Florence from January 14-17, 2025. The avant-garde brand will present an exclusive menswear collection for the event at a Florentine venue yet to be disclosed. The participation marks a significant milestone for MM6 as it brings the essence of Maison Margiela back to Pitti after nearly two decades. In addition to this, MM6 will also be showcasing in Milan in February during Women’s Fashion Week.
Pitti Immagine’s Special Events Coordinator, Francesca Tacconi, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing MM6’s signature provocative approach. “MM6 explores different postures and behaviors in the here and now, becoming symbols of inner nonconformity,” she stated. Tacconi highlighted how the upcoming collection is set to celebrate individuality and imperfection, combining deconstructed tailoring with a fresh, modern narrative that aligns with the core identity of MM6.
The MM6 team also shared their excitement for the upcoming presentation, describing it as an opportunity to create something truly special for Pitti Uomo, the world’s leading menswear fair. By embracing the spirit and philosophy of MM6, the collection aims to deliver a contemporary menswear wardrobe that showcases the brand’s attitude, innovative concepts, and unique processes. This return to Pitti promises to capture the distinctiveness that defines MM6’s bold approach to fashion.
Founded in 1997, MM6 Maison Margiela is known for reinterpreting the wardrobe with wit and irreverence, nodding subtly to the Maison’s archive while forging its own path. The brand routinely challenges sartorial conventions, using unique fabric treatments to create all-gender ready-to-wear, footwear, and accessories. MM6’s signature is marked by the iconic horizontal line of white stitches, visible on the exterior of each garment—a symbol of its refusal to conform to typical design boundaries.
