Dior’s latest footwear release, the D-Sketch sneaker, debuted on the runway during the Spring Summer 2025 Ready to Wear Fashion Show. The design takes inspiration from early-stage prototypes, featuring hand-drawn style markings that reference the creative process behind the shoe’s development. With its streamlined silhouette and a mix of classic and contemporary materials, the sneaker brings a vintage-inspired look with modern craftsmanship.
The D-Sketch sneaker is defined by its refined yet casual profile, shaped with a slender, two-tone rubber sole. A distinctive feature of the design is the hand-applied pencil-style detailing, mimicking the initial sketches used during its conceptualization. The double lacing system adds an unexpected touch while reinforcing the shoe’s structured yet laid-back aesthetic.
Dior has introduced the sneaker in four variations, each offering a different material composition and color scheme:
- White Nylon and Calfskin – A crisp white nylon upper is combined with calfskin panels, with beige suede calfskin adding depth to the design. The handwritten “Christian Dior Paris” signature is positioned on the sides, while additional branding appears on the tongue and heel counter.
- Black Nylon and Calfskin – This version mirrors the structure of the white edition but opts for a deep black nylon base, contrasted with beige suede calfskin and the same signature branding elements.
- Silver Crinkled Metallic Leather – A bold take on the design, this iteration replaces nylon with silver crinkled metallic leather, creating a high-shine effect that emphasizes the shoe’s textured finish.
- Gold Crinkled Metallic Leather – A gold-toned version of the metallic edition, featuring the same crinkled leather texture and signature design markings for a striking visual impact.
The D-Sketch sneaker is built with a technical fabric lining to provide enhanced comfort while maintaining its structured shape. The lightweight rubber sole is designed for flexibility, supporting ease of movement without compromising on aesthetics. Each pair includes an additional set of laces, allowing wearers to experiment with different styling options.
The D-Sketch sneaker officially launched in stores on February 6, 2025. It is available at Dior boutiques and select retailers worldwide.
