Fashion house SUNNEI presented its Fall Winter 2025 collection with a show that fused fashion with retail, removing the usual distance between presentation and purchase. Held on the street in front of Palazzina Sunnei, the brand’s headquarters, the event played out as a real-time interaction between clothing and its final destination – its buyers. Models emerged from inside the building carrying SUNNEI shopping bags, reinforcing the idea that fashion ultimately exists to be acquired and worn.

Unlike traditional runway spectacles, the presentation centered on the mechanics of shopping. Guests were not passive observers; to exit the location, they had to enter Palazzina Sunnei itself. This revealed that the new SUNNEI flagship store, set to open the next day, was housed inside. The act of stepping into the building blurred the line between fashion’s staged moments and its practical function. It served as a direct statement that runway shows and purchases are not separate acts but exist on the same continuum.

The decision to stage the show in an open urban setting emphasized SUNNEI’s focus on interaction, with the audience watching from behind barriers. The dynamic lighting and rhythmic sound design added to the immersive experience, transforming a commercial transaction into something engaging without resorting to theatrics.
SUNNEI’s approach has always involved challenging expectations, and this season followed that same instinct. Rather than overexplaining its intent, the show presented fashion in its most immediate form – available, tangible, and already in the hands of its wearers. The models’ exit from the headquarters and the guests’ required entrance into the space flipped the usual structure of a fashion event, making the retail experience a fundamental part of the presentation.

This setup reinforced the conclusion that fashion shows and retail should not exist as two separate realities. As the press release stated, “Let’s not overcomplicate it. Fashion is about buying and selling, and there’s nothing wrong with saying that matters to us.” That philosophy played out in real time as the show eliminated artificial barriers between the runway and the store.
SUNNEI’s Fall Winter 2025 collection did not rely on grand conceptual narratives or abstract storytelling. Instead, it operated on a simple yet effective principle: clothes are meant to be worn, and fashion is meant to be experienced through purchase and use.
