Burberry has officially announced a creative collaboration with Law Roach for the 2025 Met Gala, aligning with this year’s theme: Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. The event, held annually at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, celebrates the opening of The Costume Institute’s spring exhibition. This year’s focus on the influence of Black style through tailoring resonates with both Burberry’s heritage and Roach’s styling legacy.

Roach, widely known as an “image architect,” will serve as both creative consultant and partner for the project, helping shape Burberry’s visual contribution to the event. His role includes curating the Burberry Met Gala table and working closely with the brand on how its looks respond to and interpret the exhibition’s theme.
Law Roach’s Impact and His Admiration for Burberry
Having styled some of the most prominent actors, musicians, and models across red carpets and campaigns, Roach is known for bringing editorial depth and a boundary-pushing vision to every look. His styling choices often transcend trends, spotlighting cultural nuance and character. In 2022, his influence was formally recognized when he received the inaugural Stylist Award at the CFDA Fashion Awards.
“It is an honour to collaborate with Burberry,” Roach said in a statement. “The Met Gala encourages creativity at the highest level, which is at the core of the British house. I have always admired Daniel’s progressive design which champions an idea of modern Britishness.” His comment confirms a shared vision with Burberry but also reflects the brand’s continued evolution under Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee.

Daniel Lee, who has led Burberry through a fresh era of reinvention since his appointment, praised Roach’s perspective: “Law pushes the boundaries of style through his unique point of view on fashion and culture. We are very excited to collaborate with Law for this year’s Met Gala.” The partnership represents a synergy of vision, with Lee’s modern take on British identity and Roach’s editorial precision and cultural storytelling.
As anticipation builds for the Met Gala in May, Burberry’s partnership with Law Roach is set to make a lasting impression, combining traditional tailoring with modern edge and a daring take on British elegance.
