SUNNEI has officially opened the final element of its new Milan flagship with the debut of an art gallery. Tucked behind the already-opened Store and Café, the Gallery completes what SUNNEI has formally named the “Flagship Store–Café–Gallery.” While the retail and hospitality elements launched in March, the reveal of the 50-square-meter gallery marked a quiet but deliberate expansion of the brand’s vision, one that goes beyond fashion.
ART
Designed with white walls and red brick flooring, the gallery offers a minimal yet grounded setting for a wide range of artistic practices. Though modest in scale, the space signals a significant shift in how SUNNEI imagines its role in the city. The new flagship aims to become a local meeting point, where customers, neighbors, and artists alike can engage with each other and with contemporary art.
The inaugural exhibition features Lithuanian artist Anastasia Sosunova, whose practice moves across graphics, sculpture, video, and installation. Her work often explores ideas of identity, transformation, and belonging, concepts that resonate within the context of a brand redefining its own identity in Milan’s cultural sphere.

This debut marks the start of MOMENTO SUNNEI, a new series of monthly events designed to foster connection within the SUNNEI community. With a focus on intimacy and dialogue, each MOMENTO is by invitation only and unfolds in a hybrid format, both physically at the flagship and digitally via YouTube livestream. The goal is to maintain a sense of shared presence whether attendees are seated in the gallery or tuning in from elsewhere.

By integrating art exhibitions into its flagship concept, SUNNEI reinforces its position as more than a fashion label. It embraces a broader cultural role, one that acknowledges the power of physical space in building relationships and sparking conversation. As luxury and independent fashion brands increasingly explore new formats for engagement, SUNNEI’s latest move feels both strategic and sincere.
